As you all probably know, I have had the absolute worst luck with X2 over my last 4 visits. If you haven’t guessed already, I am currently 0/4 with X2. It blows my mind how many times I’ve tried to ride X2 and it’s been down for lots of different reasons, that being either weather, Matinence, or other factors. X2 is one of my most sought after credits at the moment and is one of the main reasons I want to get back to the park again. The reality of travelling with an ill SEN child… I have never been the most consistent person in terms of posting but I wasn’t planning on hyping up our trip to Disneyland Paris last September and then just disappearing for months… The sad fact is Liliana was very ill at the time so when she wasn’t being sick or sleeping she was very much withdrawn and not herself, being unwell also causes her to go non-verbal. Obviously this was not her fault and it’s just the risk you take travelling with children (I mean even adults get sick on holiday sometimes!) but it meant our trip was not what we had planned and what with being suspected neurodivergent myself I really struggle sometimes with big changes and disappointment. I think what made it more hard is that a trip to somewhere like DLP costs us a lot of money so is not something we can repeat often and we couldn’t really enjoy it whilst worrying about our daughter and unable to just go home as we were abroad. It wasn’t all bad, she perked up about 4 hours before we were due to go home so we squeezed in 3 rides (thanks to the DLP Priority Pass) but yeah sadly no meeting characters, no wearing her princess dresses in front of the castle, no getting excited over Dream & Shine Brighter etc so that’s why I wasn’t feeling up to sharing anything for a while but we have had some really positive UK park visits with her since so I want to get back to it! #neurodivergentfamily #senparent #themeparkfamily #disneylandparis #dlp30 #travellingwithkids #disabledaccess #disneyfan #rollercoasterenthusiast #autistictoddler

Today, I had the pleasure of riding Top Thrill 2 before it opens to the public. A huge thanks to Cedar Point for granting rollercoaster enthusiasts with this amazing opportunity, while giving back to a great cause. Admittingly, I was a bit skeptical about the revamp of this coaster’s first launch, but anything it lacked in speed it made up for in the backwards and third launch 🚀 Tonnes of airtime and negative Gs, this record breaking strata coaster is a relentless beast! My European Bucket List #53: Rita Location: Alton Towers; Alton, United Kingdom Manufacturer: Intamin Model: Accelerator Opened: 2005 Ok, time for one of the most polarizing coasters on the side of the only side of the Atlantic the Titanic saw. This is already one of the more unique Accelerator coasters since there is no tophat on it, so it shows off the speed, which I find even funnier since the cars on it are clearly the same style trains that are used on the OG Accelerator, Xcellerator.
