Congrats to all of our Kid PWR Spartan Kids‼️ They crushed the obstacle course at the Palm Beaches Spartan Weekend this past Saturday and ALL earned their medals‼️ They had to run, climb, jump & crawl their way to the finish line. Learning an instrument is a give an take experience between a student and an educator. We like to compare it to Frisbee! Oftentimes, the educator will do their best to send a clear and easy toss to a child. When the child throws back his efforts.. it may also be the same. Sometimes though it may return to us a little wonky or off into left field! When these moments happen we take it in stride ;-) Oftentimes, we find a way to look at the effort in a humorous way with a student to lighten the mood. Other times, it means we respond with a supportive comment or a way to model things that helps them feel it or sense it in a different way with their bodies! Christmas Tree Stained Glass Picture 🎄 This has been one of my favorite parent gifts that I’ve used over the last couple years 🎁 We took 3 days to complete this art project: Day 1: draw (or trace by placing a sheet of paper under the glass) a triangle Christmas tree with sharpie onto the glass insert of picture frame. Students can add ornaments, garland, and a star on top! Day 2: Paint the Christmas ornaments, trunk, and star with acrylic paint. Day 3: Have the students (or teacher) paint the rest of the tree green. Once dry, add tin foil behind the painting and place it into the picture frame!
