Life’s a blur.. For a couple of old collectors with a passion for vintage (and interesting) surfboards, along with music and art. For me it began back in the ‘70s when I opened a little surf shop/art gallery in a small town in the far north of NSW. I was trading in old longboards at $20 a pop on new shortboards and hoarding them away in a disused storeroom. Years later with the revival of longboarding these old logs became sort after and I found myself a whole new niche market, almost by default you could say. Plus I’ve always been surrounded by art and music so for me they all go together. My buddy Bender has been collecting seventies surfboards etc for many years now and I’ve been fortunate to have played a part as buyer and curator for his collection. It’s now grown to around 100 cool surfboards and hopefully one day we’ll be in a position to open the warehouse doors to fellow enthusiasts and collectors!
