My subject had an illuminating discussion of her dream in therapy. She thought about what dreams meant to her. Possibilities included cautions, defenses, things to be further examined and what could be upcoming in her waking life. Admittedly, I had hoped to glean something more specific about her dream than its vividness, but I had a sneaky feeling that I was going to be served a second helping of the chopped liver treatment. Whatever countertransferential disappointment I feel, however, is offset by a modicum of confirmatory satisfaction. In this daily incremental process, the withholding, intentional or unconscious, supports the hypothesis of her need to be mindful of what she discloses. One would be correct in viewing her caution as wise decision-making, but even something good can be problematic in excess. As the poet #robertfrank insightfully notes above, it is often the one withholding that is left most in the dark. #thecasehistories

Simon Perchik was the first Environmental Prosecutor for the Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Office, serving from 1975 to 1980. He was also a poet. His name popped up a bunch while I was working on a story about Frank O’Hara and spending too much on the East End researching at libraries. Anyway, here’s a photo of Perchik celebrating what appears to be something. Eine sehr unterhaltsame Fantasy Reihe von @sam_feuerbach und ganz famos gelesen von @robert.frank.info Richtig gute Fantasy im historischen Setting, spannend, schlagfertig, frech und humorvoll. Wir begleiten den Totengräbersohn Farin auf seinen (wirklich mannigfaltigen) Abenteuern, wo er niemals aufgibt, uns das ein oder andere Mal überrascht und uns auch oft zum schmunzeln bringt. Die Charaktere sind so gut ausgearbeitet, man fühlt sich wie im Film, wie in die Geschichte teleportiert; durch den klasse Schreibstil des Autors und auch durch die fabelhafte Darbietung des Sprechers. Es gibt viel Spannung und viel zu lachen, also falls ihr in der Öffentlichkeit lest/hört: ihr werdet 100% laut losprusten und mit lachen. Die Helden sind nämlich alle nicht auf den Mund gefallen und liefern sich immer mal wieder einen schlagfertigen Schlagabtausch. Du wirst viele interessante und liebenswerte Charaktere kennenlernen, wenn du dich mit Farin auf die Reise begibst. Das ist richtig gute Fantasy und Abenteuer! Und dann möchtest du dich gar nicht verabschieden, wenn in Teil 4 die Reise endet. Aber @sam_feuerbach hat das Ende so gut gestaltet, dass du dich gut verabschieden kannst. GODKILLER 🦌🗡️ (Werbung // selbst gekauft) ❔Von welchem Buch wart ihr zuletzt positiv überrascht ❔ „GODKILLER“ von Hannah Kaner war im Englischsprachigen Raum recht gehyped und ich hab mich total auf die Geschichte gefreut. Im Deutschen Raum gab es dann einige eher nicht so positive Stimmen, woraufhin ich irgendwie ein bisschen die Lust an dem Buch verloren hatte und es weiter nach unten auf meinem Want-to-Read-Stapel gewandert ist. Relativ spontan habe ich dann vor einer Woche einfach mal zum Hörbuch gegriffen; das liest @robert.frank.info , dem ich generell sehr gerne zuhöre und der zu meinen liebsten Hörbuchsprechern gehört. Vielleicht hat der gute Robert also auch seinen Teil dazu beigetragen, aber ich muss sagen, dass mich die Geschichte extrem gut unterhalten hat. Wir haben einen Bad-Ass-Hauptcharakter mit losem Mundwerk (wie aus einem Jay Kristoff-Buch entsprungen, mag ich! 😁👌) und einen Trope, der mir generell super gut gefällt; eine Truppe aus wild zusammengewürfelten Menschen findet zusammen und begibt sich gemeinsam auf die Reise, wobei Jeder seine eigenen Motive und Beweggründe hat. Ich wurde super unterhalten, die Story war spannend, es gab nur wenig Romantik (👍) und spannende Wendungen und Entwicklungen.
