What does a fish sound like? To me, it sounded like Javier Bardem, and thankfully, he knew how to speak Fish. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN IM SO GRATEFUL GRACIAS JAVIER. An opportunity years in the making, this man couldn’t have a kinder, passionate, empathic soul. He was nice enough to listen to me, and I have absolutely no words to describe how grateful I am to him. That’s it, all good. Oof. Can’t wait for you to watch this madness we call Walking Fernando. We recently had a limited screening of the rough cut of my latest short, Walking Fernando, and it definitely didn’t go as expected 😯 This October, I’ve been lucky enough to go to 4 different screenings. However, the last one was the one that I was looking the least forward to. Just because I had to deliver a rough cut, and nobody wants to watch a rough cut on a big screen in front of a crowd. Any sane filmmaker won’t show their film until it’s in a decent state. To my surprise, a lot of those who watched it really liked it, which makes me so so happy. THANK YOU to everybody who shared kind words with me, never in a million years I would’ve imagined this response. We suffered to make this film, it’s basically a miracle it’s finished. @srishq @hje_n @agusgotz @amierosepage @zachary.wilhelm @tripssey all coming together to save the project, @s.fergus0n and I changing and cutting shots constantly, the script changing with it, shoot dates flying around all the time, @saj.mirpuri editing like crazy to get to the deadline, @isabelwoodingsmusic being a total pro and scoring quickly to make it to submission, @abbie.artist @grantemmac and @_solaguren_ artistically saving the day, @alfonsnieto coming to record Fernando’s line 90 mins BEFORE the submission… The crew really were legendary and still are to this date, as we keep working on it. And can’t forget to mention @fabcastle15 good vibes and patience, we got super lucky.
