A little about me: I’m Ruth, a floral designer based in Northern Ireland. I trained in floristry for the last 5 years and before that I studied a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts in @goldsmithsuol in London. This area of study definitely helped me understand atmosphere and spectacle; how to create little moments, big stories and of course all the drama! My passion for the environment has been life long, living on a smallholding in County Down with my mum and sister from the age of 10 meant I grew up amongst the flowers that my mum planted. I played in the fields beside the house and made friends with the butterflies and bees that made our land their home. I’ve grown up with seasonality playing an important role in our lives and it is now at the forefront of my creative process.
