Watched @theacademy awards into the wee hours last night and was pleased to see the Oscars and honours given to Emma Stone, Production Design, Makeup & Hairstyling and Costume Design. All of that magic born from the mind of the late, great Alasdair Gray. Don’t you love it when someone takes the time to introduce you to something new? A few years ago our friends at @brokenclockcafe introduced us to sea buckthorn tea. These gorgeous orange berries have a tart and sweet flavour. They are also used for medicinal purposes. I’m a self-confessed sugar junkie. The sweeter the better! I feel like if you come to Glasgow and your teeth don’t shake, we haven’t done our job. But I’m learning to appreciate the subtle flavours of red bean, matcha and natural flavour desserts. Glasgow is gaining some incredible Chinese restaurants and tea shops. Speaking as an immigrant myself, I hope everyone who moves here is made welcome and that they bring their food for the rest of us to learn about and enjoy! 🏴🇨🇳
Has anyone else given into curiosity to try some of the new vegan junk food at some of the fast food outlets?! In the spirit of try everything once we had @subway_ukireland Vegan Meatless Meatball Marinara and @greggs_official Vegan Steak Bake. Both were pretty good and even the dog came in to mooch for a taste.
