Bloomers of Bakewell, Bakewell Pastry - 6/10 Meat - 8/10 Jelly - 7/10 Beautiful meat filling, complemented nicely by the thin jelly layer. The pastry flavour was lovely, however it was very crumbly, which affected the integrity of the pie and made eating difficult. Me and @birkinshawnicola had the most amazing day out in Bakewell today! We went on the Monsal bike trail and absolutely loved it. From the off we met some truly amazing people. We met these two beautiful girls with the most positive energy ever! They were trying to take selfies so we offered to take a pic for them and they were so happy so offered for us too and we all got talking. It was great and we were right in the way of all the cyclists and walkers….oooops 🤣 We all decided to take a selfie of us all. The girl at the front is called Sumara. Nice to meet you Sumara 😊 Meeting these two girls and their super friendly way put the biggest smiles on our faces and we started our ride on a high. We then went for fish and chips down by the river in Bakewell ans it’s so beautiful there. Ever been somewhere gorgeous and looked for houses for sale on rightmove? 🤣 Afterwards we went to get a proper Bakewell tart for a friend @bloomersbakewell the girl in there was so lovely as well. I think we were meant to bump into them today.
