This glow-in-the-dark piece by Tim @timsairbrush is the fifth piece that I have been fortunate enough to capture. Tim’s creativity is out of this world, I love how he comes up with a vision, and is then able to follow through with his art and put it on a human body.. I greatly admire and respect him for his art the medium he uses, and how he is willing to share his love and passion of body painting. The creativity doesn’t stop with the artist. The model Madi @_madi_in_motion_ is able to take a concept and truly bring it to life. Through her poses her facial expressions, and her mindset she can take a concept and give it the enthusiasm and excitement it deserves. Madi is a Shapeshifter, and has been able to jump from genre to genre it is clear that she isn’t afraid to flex her skills no matter what she is doing. #specialeffectsmakeup Idmon is said to have two fathers,one divine and one mortal.The divine father was Apollo himself, god of divination,and his mortal father was Abaddas ,son of the great seer Melaboda.In the world of Wonderland,he occupies a prominent position of great prestige.He influences the lives of creatures as well as the politics of cities and kings, interpreting omens,forlmulating oracles and performing rituals.He resides deep in the forest and it is said that you can only find him if Idmon himself wills it. To complete the character, 14 silicone, polyester and polyester resin molds were made and cast, resulting in 28 silicone pieces.The staff is made of pvc pipe and latex.Fir the snail's bidy and shell ,an aluminium skeleton was first made and then covered with foam rubber giving the original a basic shape to the body and shell.The texture was created with dremel and then the spikes were cut and glued.The baroque elements on top were molded with soft polyurethane,and glued. I’m Wayne, a prop and costume maker based in West Yorkshire. I’ve been making stuff for what seems like forever, which led to me studying arts and education at Leeds University. My ‘day job’ is working with the amazing young people at Leeds City College. My passion for props and costumes started with making costumes for my kids when they were younger, which grew in to Cosplay and theatre as they got older. My inspiration comes from a wide range of pop culture sources, including horror movies, video games, and comics. I work in a vast range of materials, including the traditional as well as embracing new technologies, including 3D modelling and printing. The latest #worldbodypaintingfestival 2023 - #brushandsponge competition, theme “Welcome to the Wonderland”🪄🎨🎭💄👠 As my artist👩🎨lives in Scotland, for depicting mystical creatures she chose Scottish mythology: This redheaded girl on my chest is Baobhan Sith - the most sinister bloodthirsty female fairy (succubus), turning into ravens🐦⬛ instead of bats🦇Siths are a deer spirits who protect the woods and punish hunters who had not performed the correct rituals. They feel the smell of hunter’s victim and follow it. Sith can read a man’s mind, communicate telepathically in any language and shape shift into somebody she finds beautiful. She slits the throat with a sharp razor fingernails, afraid of sunlight and iron. Some say they rising from their safe place once a year, but building a stone cairn would stop them rising for their feast. The girl on my right leg is Selkie - creature transforming between seal and human by shedding and replacing her skin. In the water they look like seals. As humans, Selkies are incredibly attractive, graceful, kind and amorous, often save the lives of child or fisherman who have fallen into the sea. Selkie is irresistibly beautiful in human form, so any men coming across them falling desperately in love. Unfortunately relationships between humans and Selkies rarely end well. On my back is Kelpie: he guides the entrance to the magical sea world. Kelpie is an evil water spirit which haunts Scotland’s lakes. Kelpies mostly appear as a horse, they also can be seen in a human form with waterweeds in their hair! In horse form kelpies drag their victims underwater. The blue men of the Minch, also known as storm Kelpies, are creatures inhabiting the seas at the West Scotland. They wait in the depths for sailors to drown boats to sink. El resultado final: una pieza “Salvaje” que busca, grita y clama libertad frente a la opresión, tanto como recurso defensivo o una vuelta hacia la esencia de las cosas. Esencia de las “cosas”, de los elementos utilizados, de los cuerpos dóciles… expresados en materiales de deshecho, de reciclaje… máxima expresión de un arte abordado, pensado, reflexionado y sentido. Con una paleta de colores que exprese el sentir de la Tierra de sus elementos, un sentir ultrajado y reaccionario ante la contaminación masiva. Lo que aquí les dejo es entonces… el modelo… El Planeta Tierra.

Jugando con el término “salvaje” y su ambivalencia, esta expresión artística es una respuesta a lo despiadado del mundo de la moda entre lo grotesco, lo desproporcionado y lo recargado con la intención de que sea una respuesta agresiva a una industria de la moda que es belicosa y devastadora. Ante la sofisticación y el consumismo desmesurado la obra será realizada con material de deshecho como tela quemada, chapas de imprentas en desuso texturizadas a mano, tejido de plástico, sunchos y alambres. El resultado final: una pieza “Salvaje” que busca, grita y clama libertad frente a la opresión, tanto como recurso defensivo o una vuelta hacia la esencia de las cosas.
