I know I am late. This book, actually this series has been read and praised by many. I knew the reason, the first time I read it. For some reason, I found myself compelled to read it again a few days back. So here's my experience.
Being someone who really enjoys reading and watching mythology, purely for entertainment purposes, I really enjoyed this one. This one is a gem in this genre. The way story moves from one thing to another is just seem less and flow is quite natural. You never feel like story is being pushed around for no reason. The character development of shiva is done satisfactorily. It is not your regular mythology. It presents a different way of looking at things which was quite unknown before this. Every detail has been so subtly put into the puzzle that the whole picture comes out quite beautifully. Nothing seems amiss. A must read for those who love mythologies. If you don't read this one, you are missing out on a big one. A marvel of imagination, knowledge and writing expertise.
