To moje pierwsze spotkanie z twórczością Ewy Przydrygi i myślę, że to początek pięknej przygody, gdyż trafił w moje gusta. Dobrze skonstruowana historia zaginięcia dodatkowo podsyca fakt, że zaginiona była w ciąży. Z biegiem książki, poznając mroczne życie Laury, lektura staje się jeszcze bardziej ekscytująca. Fabuła książki osadzona jest w małym miasteczku. Z początku biegnie powoli jednakże, później znacznie nabiera tempa by w finale poprostu eksplodować. Sam finał leciutko przekoloryzowany, jednak nie wpłynął na moją końcową ocenę. Dodatkowo historia jest opowiadana z perspektywy obu sióstr, co również dodaje wyjątkowości. Lekkość pióra autorki powoduje, że książka czyta się sama, mimo ciężkiej tematyki. Jeśli lubicie thrillery to jest książka dla Was. Hola a todos, esta publicación es para contarles que febrero y marzo fueron meses muy raros: animicamente estaba muy temerosa, incierta y por lo mismo triste, pero culturalmente fueron dos grandes y bellos meses para mí. Entre tanta cosa que sentía y pensaba se me fueron como agua, cuando me daba cuenta ya era lunes y otro lunes y otra semana, no me daba el tiempo para editar fotos de reuniones, carteles de invitación ni para sentarme a escribir reseñas o comentarios, incluso pareciera que toda actividad se paró en la cuenta, pero la verdad es que no. Cada mes hemos tenido nuestras reuniones de los círculos de lectura, comentamos en los grupos... de hecho, me pone muy contenta que en ambos círculos, las lecturas hechas han gustado mucho, hasta ahora, Montedidio y Lavinia han sido las favs... AMO LAVINIA 🖤 creo que es mi libro fav en lo que va del año. Además de las reuniones mensuales, también fui a un concierto de boleros escritos por mujeres, conocí a una de mis escritoras favs contemporánea y en Refugio de Lectoras, tuvimos la inmensa fortuna de tener una reunión presencial con otra autora que nos gusta y admiramos mucho... ni siquiera de esos dos encuentros que me encantaron les he podido contar. Oder ich bin mal wieder unterinformiert. Auch deren Pseudonym #elisabethvonarnim sagt mir nicht viel. Die Arnims waren ja weit verbreitet, oft mit den Brentanos genannt, aber hier stammt der Ehemann der aus einer Seitenlinie. Vermutlich ist das völlig egal, denn während er landwirtschaftlich schwierige Güter bewirtschaftete, schrieb Elisabeth mehr als 20 Bücher. Das hab ich schnell mal unter dem großen „W“ nachgelesen. Nun ist also #bezaubernderapril dran. Der April ist zwar fast zu Ende, momentan ist er doch verzaubert, denn es scheint die Sonne über zartem Grün. Mal sehen, was hier nun der #inputverlag in die #perlenderliteratur aufgenommen hat. Elf Bücher hab ich bereits besprochen, inzwischen sind es wohl 25 und mehr in der sehr schönen Reihe aus der Buchmacherstadt Hamburg. BOOK REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️.5 ✅ small town ✅ cowboy romance ✅ enemies to lovers (ish) ✅ city girl x country boy I was so nervous starting this book! I’ve heard so many great things about this series and didn’t want to be disappointed or underwhelmed especially since I have read Heartless a few years back and I lovvvved it!! Our characters Summer and Rhett, they started off on the wrong foot and don’t like each other very much initially but the more time they spend together the more they like each other and enjoy each others company. This book made me squeal and smile and was just a comforting read. So easy to follow and a great start to the series and introduction to the family and sneak peace into other characters that get their own books! 💖 I loved that Summer learnt to stick up for herself and Rhett learnt to let go of the things that no longer give him happiness. They helped each other and it was so sweet! The only thing that didn’t make it a 5 stars was I would of liked to explore Summers dynamic with her (step)mum and sister a little bit more! Avis Lecture 🧐📖 "Victory of Eagles" Téméraire tome 5, Naomi Novik 🐉 Me voici à plus de la moitié de la série et même si ça s'essouffle un peu à certains moments, je reste toujours très attaché à Laurence et Téméraire. Une petite fierté aussi à l'idée de finir cette série - car oui je vais enfin finir une série de Novik!! - miracle à noter, moi qui ai abandonné toutes mes lectures de l'autrice 😅🤣. J'avais hâte de poursuivre avec ce volume, le 4eme m'avait laissé avec un cliffhanger pour nos héros, alors que Napoléon s'apprêtait à lancer l'assaut. Il se trouve que j'en ressort avec un sentiment diffu. J'ai aimé ma lecture, la première partie plutôt - alors que la seconde et le final m'ont fait lever les bras en l'air, demandant aux divinités des scénarios "mais pourquoi?!" On m'avait prévenu du côté répétitif scénaristique, sur le fait que nos héros ne se renouvellent pas forcément et restent figés dans leur propre nature. Et bien nous y sommes. Est-ce grave ? Non. Les livres sont assez courts pour que je les prenne en tant que "lecture légère" à la manière d'un jeunesse. Mais j'avoue que j'espérais plus et c'est notamment avec Laurence que mes yeux ont tendance à se lever.😮💨 Mettons de côté les idéaux de notre héros, idéaux que j'aime énormément, et qui restent très agréables à lire au fil des pages mais... On a l'impression que Novik tourne en rond et ne sait plus comment faire pour donner de la nuance aux héros. D'ailleurs, volume après volume, on en revient toujours à ces mêmes idéaux initiaux : lutte contre l'esclavage, l'égalité, la liberté etc. Je n'ai donc pas l'impression que l'histoire avance vraiment si ce n'est celle se basant sur notre Grande Histoire et la guerre entre la France et l'Angleterre. Heureusement, les héros restent tout de même attachants et au final les livres se lisent avec facilité. J'ai tout de même hâte de connaître la fin de la série ✨👍

Un triangolo a mio avviso trattato meravigliosamente bene dove ho amato entrambi i protagonisti contesi, (cosa non scontata in un triangolo e quando succede volo)caratterizzati in modo impeccabile assieme alla protagonista. Cam e Reese sono due personaggi davvero pazzeschi. Ma come per Charlie il mio cuore batteva più forte solo per uno di loro e ho capito prima di lei che direzione avrebbe preso il suo di cuore, ma che dolore fino alla fine!!! INDIMENTICABILE✨

Misbelief: What Makes Rational People Believe Irrational Things Drown into the COVID conspiracy tapestry, Ariely wrote his new psychological book. He opined that misbelief can be metaphorically compared to a funnel, comprising of four distinct layers that play a role in its development. These layers encompass emotional, cognitive, personality, and social aspects. The definition made by the author between disbelief and misbelief is noteworthy. Disbelief refers to a unwillingness to accept the truth of something, whereas misbelief carries more connotation. Those who hold misbeliefs are resolute in their refusal to change their minds, even when confronted with numerous substantial evidence. I like the funnel of misbelief proposed by the author because it provides a useful framework for understanding the progression from emotional reactions(esp when we are under pressure), cognitive biases and fallacies(eg. hindsight bias and proportionality bias), personality traits(eg. narcissists), and social influences(Humans strive,and are motivated for interpersonal attachment, which is why we fear being ostarcized). However, the book is not without its flaws. One of the flaws is that the book is noticeably biased in favor of the author’s viewpoint. Readers with diverse perspectives may have difficulty relating to certain sections, which can appear overly dogmatic and opinionated. An absolutely gorgeous book today and one that is so much fun to teach in class. Hair love is by @matthewacherry and @vashtiharrison published by @puffinbooksuk and it tells the story of a special bond between a father and daughter when dad is needed to do Zuri’s hair. There is lots of attempts but Zuri needs it just right and she won’t accept anything less. I love this book as it celebrates different culture and the ability to love yourself just the way you are, being proud of your heritage. It’s a really fun book to read and lends itself so well to role play areas and practical lessons on hair styling as well. Book Review: The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell Wow! I was proud of myself when I thought I had predicted what happened but my cockiness was short-lived. The turn of events started to uncover things I hadn't thought of. This book is one of the best mystery novels I've read! So far, this is the 3rd book I've read by Lisa Jewell and I'm loving it! 📚 Secondhand Score round two! 📚 Today was gloriously sunny and I decided it was time to hit up the last used bookstore shop on my list. I accidentally forgot my transport pass so ended up walking 4km between shops. I had a bit of an adventure along the way! I saw Mr Potato Head through the window and I had to go in to check out the display. Ended up finding a Tokyo Disneyland China Chip cup that came home with me instead 😂 I missed out on Nonna’s subs too. I did get to the bookstore in the end, up a set of stairs and divided into rooms full of books! I walked out with these two sets and intentions to go back again. I really loved the balance of fantasy and romance in this book and the fact that this world wasn’t too complex for an amateur fantasy reader like myself. I did find that near the middle the book began to drag slightly and it is definitely a slow-burn when it comes to the romance. However, it was totally worth it because the last 100 pages were absolutely wild and I couldn’t put it down!
