GETAWAY - NAGARHOLE, KARNATAKA
Our Independence Day weekend was spent in Nagarhole which is about 4-5 hours from Bangalore, with three other families - our close friends. We all had a great time due to the company - especially the boys who are always gung-ho about spending time with their chaddi buddies. .
The not so good part of the trip - The place we stayed at. Wouldn't recommend JLR (Jungle Lodge Resorts) King's Sanctuary. Thought it was clearly not up to standard especially considering the price tag that came with it. The property is in drastic need of both an uplift and regular upkeep.

The heavy rains and flooding a week before meant the normal safari routes were sludgy and we had to choose an alternative of driving on some of the main roads inside the National Park. For the longest time we barely spotted any wild life but closer to sunset we finally got some glimpses. Seeing wild animals in their natural habitat is wonderful and something we were looking forward to the boys experiencing. 🦌🦚🐘
