Nightcrawler | Movie Review
When Louis Bloom, a con man desperate for work, muscles into the world of L.A. crime journalism, he blurs the line between observer and participant to become the star of his own story. This is the film I saw where I believed there is this highly engaging fire within Jake Gyllenhaal. He was great in alot of movies but this one really made me believe I wasn't seeing an actor but a real life character. Gyllenhaal plays Lou and he is pretty creepy and unsettling but absolutely interesting and he made me curious to see how his plan would all come together and pay off. The ride to that destination is intense and realistically wild. Nightcrawler never really loses its momentum and has some seriously fantastic scenes -- the mirror scene still gets to me -- and I highly recommend it if you have not checked it out.
