Это был сой первый ММКФ. Но 46-й по счёту вообще. Очень давно мне хотелось на него акредитоваться и попасть, ещё в бытность моей журналистской деятельности. Смотреть и смотреть кино, в потом писать и писать о нем. И вот попала, уже будучи актрисой. Все дни фестиваля я описала в сториз, жаль, что они такие недолговечные. Понравилась русская программа ( очень все достойно и огромный ажиотаж из желающих), а также иранское кино, мексиканское… очень жалею, что не попала на китайские фильмы ( посмотрела только совместный Российско-китайский продакшн, фильм «ненормальный» о котором писала отдельно. Напишу о российских новинках отдельный пост. А здесь хочу отметить, что удивительно, но все картины которые я смотрела так или иначе были фильмы о прощении. И «открытое небо», и очень тяжёлый «дыхание холода». Жаль, что не увидела «Стыд» - победитель фестиваля этого года. И вот очень хотела попасть на «Мартин читает Коран», думаю, это тоже очень моя тема. Очень важная тема - тема веры. Title: Challengers Director: Luca Guadagnino Tashi, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, turned her husband into a champion. But to overcome a losing streak, he needs to face his ex-best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend. I wanted to post about it right after I saw Challengers because ever since the trailer got released I thought that this will definitely be a good one. Not only was there some great acting but the shots were very artsy (is that the word to use… I’m not sure but that’s how it felt to me haha). The soundtrack was perfectly chosen too- I’m definitely a fan of that genre of music, but in my opinion it tied very well as it kept me on the edge of my seat at moments too! Not only was there a very good love triangle, but also some very good tennis drama too. Zendaya delivered a great performance as Tashi and Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor were a great match for their respective characters as well. Luckily for me, my first Nuri Bilge Ceylan experience was 'once upon a time in Anatolia' and because of the impact it had on me, im surly going to watch 'Winter Sleep' since it won the palme d'Or, unfortunately we Don't get to see this side of Turkey's Cinema often but Nuri Bilge Ceylan is a Director worth following. 'Once upon a time in Anatolia' is about a group of men who set out in search of a dead body in the Anatolian steppes. Anybody that thinks this movie is slow, long and boring has lost every reasonable attachment to reality, in my view the longevity of time is properly sensible For pursuing a murder case following with the lack of music score and the empty moments Bilge Ceylan puts in the movie which often is filled with great cinematography, gives the audience enough time to fill the void inside their mind and comprehend the totality of the movie. I also loved that the movie starts in night(dark) and finishes in day(light) which is a proper metaphor for clearance of solving a murder case, the other point is, in this movie Nobody tell lies but everyone keeps the hole truth within which gives a great sense of masculine personality and the audience a opportunity to think it through. The work of All the actors in the movie is on point and memorable but my favorite was the chief of police (Naci) portrait by Yılmaz Erdoğan which was so perfect and close to reality that i myself senced that i am in the presence of a near retirement police officer. As she tells them the story of her life, the borderline between cinema and reality gradually becomes blurred. Following the release of Perfect Blue, Kon considered adapting the Yasutaka Tsutsui novel Paprika (1993) into his next film. However, these plans were stalled when the distribution company for Perfect Blue, Rex Entertainment, went bankrupt. The budget was initially 130 million yen, and the final budget was around 100 million and a few tens of millions of yen, one of the lowest production costs for an animated film in Japan.
