This week I showed up as me, I was struggling. Instead of hiding it, putting a brave face on or pushing my feelings aside for another more convenient time I thought about how I work with my clients & what we would work through if they were in a similar situation.
I chose to honour my feelings & I owned them for what they were. They were there to guide me through a situation & to teach me things about myself that I was struggling to understand I was honest about how I was feeling & purely by being brave enough to be just me in that moment, the consequences were that I gave someone else “permission” to do the same for themselves too. That person thanked me for my authenticity.
In the past I spent so many years trying to fit in, be the person I think people want/need me to be & conform to stereotypes, but I am happiest & most fulfilled when I just get to be me. Its liberating to understand who you are, what motivates you, that you can be the star of your own show. That is why my coaching style revolves around authenticity, I show up as me & support my clients to see themselves as they really are & for who they really can be… ...Claire
