I had lunch with another disability advocate today and we got on the highly fraught topic of STRAWS. Ack. The coffee shop we were at only had paper straws and they were disintegrating halfway through our meal. I care deeply about the environment and solving climate change, but I don't think banning plastic straws is the solution. I know this issue is complicated and there isn't an easy answer, but I really appreciate when restaurants (like @honeygrow) have plastic straws-- at least as an option. What do you think?
