Here’s another rescue story from our dog groomer Hannah who has rescued lots of different animals.
Duke the pony was rescued by Hannah from the WSPCA in 2016 and has kept her on her toes ever since! What he lacks in size he makes up for in personality. He’s full of mischief and is a bit of an escape artist! On several occasions he’s walked into the house, knocked down bird feeders looking for snacks and pulled clothes off of the clothesline. He’s a funny character and Hannah is always wondering what he’ll get up to next. 😅
During lockdown Duke and Hannah would often be seen walking down the lanes and on the beach. People would see this little fellow trotting by her side from a distance and wonder if it was a small pony or a large dog. 😅
Duke is a master at making people smile and has been a great addition to Hannah’s family. Though pony’s have different needs and require different care, if you have the capabilities, horses shouldn’t be overlooked by anyone thinking of adopting. ❤️🐴 Go Hannah! 🙌🏽
