So I'm not giving up on my project #100images100days and I'm going to keep sharing images as often as I can, heck I might even get a few days in a row as there are a few images from this drone flight I want to share. These were taken on my way back from Mt Gambier in May last year. I'm not actually sure without looking to what day I'm up to but it doesn't matter. Ok so i'm back for 2022 to continue my 100 images project. (I got busy) So it seems fitting that I start with a photo (taken on my phone) this time last year while we were riding motorbikes around Tasmania. My partner in many speeding crimes is currently doing Tassi 2.0 without me this year, but i'll definitely be there again next year. So this is the view from mount Wellington looking over Hobart, there is not too Many better views in MHO. Day 28. For those following along thanks for the reminder, I missed a few days haha. With this image, I'm heading overseas to one of the most amazing places I have ever experienced. I must say reindeer are a lot smaller than I imagined. Day 20. This image may seem a little random but my passion outside of photography is renovating and restoring houses and this is one of the chimneys on my latest project. But I guess the big news to some is that photography is no longer my full-time gig, I'm now back on the tools renovating houses. Day 15. Another from Tasmania. We took a ride out to Strathgordon to see this, the Gordon Dam. Day 14. It seems I missed a day. So there's a bit of a funny story behind this pic. Yes we stayed in a tank 1 night on our trip around Tassie. So we had 2 planning nights before this trip, 1 to work out where we were going to go and the 2nd to plan our accommodation. So we were booking mainly AirB&bs and Simon had never used AirB&B before so he found this one just outside of Port Arther and was keen as to stay here, I agreed thinking this would be cool something different, this is what this trip is about new experiences, awesome booked it. Before we left Hobart (as I knew we were going to be arriving in the dark I checked the app for instructions on how to find the place and the access code to the key. When I opened the app and clicked the message from this accommodation the first thing I saw was in bold capitals "THERE IS NO POWER IN THE TANK" So you can imagine 2 photographers with multiple small cameras strapped to bikes, helmets, and drone batteries now thinking how the hell are we to charge all these batteries and we had just bought more batteries in Hobart😳🙄😂 Anyway as it turns out there was power in the shower block 100m away. Day11. What can I say about this beautiful old lady? She smells a whole lot better than she did that's for sure. 😂 (no it's not mine ) But I have worked on her like she is my own. In some ways, I feel like she has a piece of me in her forever, and vice versa. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to work on and restore this old girl, I'd go as far to say she has saved me through the most difficult time in my life. Day 1. 100 Days of drone or phone images. It would be fair to say that 99.5% of images taken on phones never see the light of day they sit on our phones backed up to the cloud. And now one of my favorite ways to capture unique images is from a drone but again these images sit on hard drives when they should be shared.
