This is probably my best addition in a long time. I installed this Victron DC to DC converter to allow me to more efficiently charge my EcoFlow power station while driving. Previously, I would just plug my EcoFlow into the vehicles 12 V port so it would charge while driving. However, you can only push about 85 to 100 watts through those 12V plugs, meaning a full recharge on your 1000 watt/hr power station would require you to be driving for at least 10-12hrs! This Victron DC to DC converter is wired directly to my starter battery and when it’s coupled with an XT60i plug into the EcoFlow it more efficiently charges at approximately 415 watts! This means I can recharge my EcoFlow from 0 to 100% in only 2 1/2 hours! I have always refrained from doing a dual battery system, because of the expense of the initial install, the complexity, and the fact that you have to maintain two batteries. I just don’t like the idea of it. Personally, I much prefer the flexibility of just taking a portable power station when I need it . I can then use the power station for many other things, and not just in the vehicle. Some will debate that, but this is what works for me and I have used this method for many years. Installing the Victron 12/24V 30 Amp DC/DC Converter made it so much easier to keep my Ecoflow charged! I traveled around Florida for about a month, and never had any issues, always keeping the fridge running, and powering many other electronic devices. Highly recommend doing this if you carry a portable power station! I just recently posted about how impressed I am with the @bfgoodrichtires KM3’s, both in performance and excellent wear! Over 41,000 miles and still plenty of tread left on my 37’s. Fast forward a few days and when I met up with @swellrunner at his house he commented on my KM3 post. After glancing over at my Jeep and casually asking if I was on 35’s🤣😂 he asked if I wanted a set of 39’s! After confirming that he wasn’t joking, I 100% said yes! I had been thinking of going to the 39’s after these 37’s wore out, so this was ideal! Jason ran these for a couple thousand miles on his previous white #prospectorxl and they look brand new! He said they weren’t big enough 😂 A few phone calls to my friends at @discount_tire and I was off to get them mounted and balanced! Jason even let me borrow his trailer-you rock brother👍 Sam even came out to rub in the fact that the Koertge family holds the Bop-It title again🏆😂 To make this even more of a “meant to be” scenario, I bumped into and met @shaneluckeyy and @ivy_luckey in their nicely built Gladiator.
