Am 24.04.2024 fand im Rahmen des Projektes „Informatische Grundbildung in der Primarstufe und in der Jahrgangsstufe 5 gestalten“ im Vormittagsbereich ein Code-Day für die Schülerinnen und Schüler der Jahrgangsstufe 4 an der GGS Humboldtstraße statt. Ziel des Projektes ist es, bereits Grundschulkinder im Rahmen des Sachunterrichtes mit informatorischen Inhalten spielerisch in Kontakt zu bringen, um sie so für diesen Bereich zu begeistern. Dieses Projekt findet in verschiedenen Verbünden (Grundschule – weiterführende Schule) in NRW statt. Dabei ist den einzelnen Verbünden die Gestaltung des Projektes selbst überlassen. Das EHKG hat sich gemeinsam mit den beteiligten Grundschulen (GGS Humboldtstraße und GGS Am Park) darauf geeinigt, dass Schülerinnen und Schüler der Jahrgangsstufe 10 in die Grundschulen kommen, um ihnen das Programmieren mit dem Calliope beizubringen. Am letzten Mittwoch war es dann endlich so weit. Drei vierte Klassen warteten gespannt auf die sieben Schülerinnen und Schüler vom „Elly“ um mit ihnen endlich programmieren zu können. Bevor aber die ersten kleinen Programme „nachgebaut“ werden konnten, lernten die Grundschulkinder erstmal den Aufbau des Calliope und den Umgang mit der zugehörigen App kennen. Als dann geklärt war, wie man Programme schreibt und auf den Calliope übertragen konnte ging es auch direkt los. Die Calliope blinkten und gaben eine Vielzahl von Tönen von sich und man merkte direkt, die Kinder waren in den Bann gezogen und das Programmieren viel ihnen ganz leicht. Gab es jedoch mal Fragen, so wurden ganz selbstverständlich die 10er zu Rate gezogen. So wurden ganz intuitiv Programme geschrieben und abgeändert. Zuletzt musste dann noch ein Klavier gebaut, programmiert und natürlich zum Klingen gebracht werden. Für die Kinder war das natürlich überhaupt kein Problem. Eva Fels has been chairwoman of the transgender association TransX since 2000 and in this function was, among other things, co-founder of the First European Transgender Council (Vienna 2005). Calliope has left the building! Mama Calliope has earned a well-deserved vacation from these babies and motherhood. The Composition kittens are 8 weeks old and it won’t be long before they’re ready for adoption themselves. The time had come, bittersweet to say goodbye but a good step nonetheless. Calliope was a ROCKSTAR mama to seven kittens for 8 weeks, barely needing any help from me. I’m so thankful for her, and feel so lucky to have had her in our lives. So it was hard, but I was delighted to take Calliope to another @awlaarlington foster where she can have the full run of a whole house, clean only herself, snuggle with her foster mom in bed and generally get all the attention she wants but couldn’t get here with all the babies around her all the time. Here are a few pictures from her first day in at Christine’s house, you can see she’s settling in fine, and then a couple of my favorites. Calliope will be spayed in a couple weeks and will be ready for adoption!
