Dobrovnik Old City is the one fortress you must see in a life time, even if you are not a Game of Thrones fan. You can leave your car in one of the parking lots nearby (such as Old Town Parking - crazy expensive, but conveniently located across the fortress) and start your visit from Fort Lovrijenac, continue to Dubrovnik West Harbour, move on to Fort Bokar, and, further on, to the Gundulic Square, from where the Jesuit Staircase (here the “walk of shame” scene was filmed) descents to St Ignatius Church. Climb on the city walls to Minceta Tower, which is the highest point of the fortress, and, if you feel up for it, continue the walk on top of these city walls, which will allow you to have a breathtaking view of the city, including the Onofrio’s Large Fountain. Eigentlich war nach der Festung Klis geplant, die Stadt Split zu besuchen. Da der Campingplatz bereits ausgebucht war und keine Plätze in der Nähe verfügbar waren, sind wir bis nach Dubrovnik gefahren. Dubrovnik (Bild 1-5) Da es in Dubrovnik viel Sehenswürdigkeiten gibt, haben wir uns für 2 volle Tage entschieden. Es gibt auch eine Dubrovnik Card, die sich auf jeden Fall lohnt. Wir haben verschiedene Museen besichtigen und haben die Stadt über die Stadtmauer von oben besichtigt. Für Game of Thrones Fans lohnt es sich, hier einmal vorbei zu schauen, da Dubrovnik als Vorbild für "Königsmund" galt und hier einige Szenen gedreht wurden. Auch sonst lohnt sich ein Besuch der Stadt! Mostar (Bild 6) Auf dem Rückweg Richtung Norden haben wir die Stadt Mostar in Bosnien-Herzegowina besichtigt. Mostar ist bekannt für ihre Brücke. Abgesehen davon gibt es unserer Meinung nach keine besonderen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Mostar würden wir kein zweites Mal besuchen. Plitvicer Seen Nationalpark (Bild 7-10) Die Plitvicer Seen standen schon von Anfang an auf unserer Liste. Sie sind ebenso eindrücklich wie die Krka Wasserfälle, wobei die Landschaft sehr einem Schweizer Wald ähnelt. In der Hochsaison wird es so viele Menschen haben, dass man sich gegenseitig auf die Füsse tritt und aufpassen muss, dass man nicht ins Wasser fällt.
