Però oggi non voglio parlarvi del suo posto più famoso, il tempio Phnom Sampeau, una grotta che al tempo degli Khmer rossi divenne un'enorme fossa comune. Oggi vi voglio mostrare tre posti che potete trovare nei dintorni di Battambang. Nella prima foto potete vedere il poco famoso Wat Kan Doeng. L'ho scoperto per caso lungo le rive del fiume Sangker. Wenn man im Bus sitzen bleiben kann und auf direktem Weg nach Lissabon fährt, braucht man 5 Stunden, wenn man in Lagos umsteigen muss, 7. Ich sitze bis zur ersten Pause im Schneidersitz und versuche, die Erlebnisse der letzten Tage zu ordnen. Es fühlt sich an, als würde das Ganze hier nur ein besonders lebhafter Traum sein, ich fühle mich fiebrig - Licht und Schatten, die Wolken spiegeln sich auf dem Tejo, als wir über die Ponte 25 de Abril fahren. Wenn ich zu lange rausschaue, muss ich meine Augen mit meinen Händen bedecken, wenn ich die Gardine zuziehe, bleibt nur noch ein kleiner Spalt, um rauszuschauen. Das, was ich sehe, verspricht Moment-Melancholie, weil ich weiß, dass ich mich später erinnern werde, es verspricht Abenteuer, Neugierde: Eine Stadt eingekapselt in Wärme, es leuchtet, ich glühe. Statt 7 Stunden bin ich gefühlte 10 unterwegs, nichts soll die nächsten Tage so kommen, wie ich mir das vorgestellt habe. Und weil doppelt besser hält, gleich zwei Diagnosen: Grippe und ein gebrochener Finger. Wenn ich jetzt daran denke, dass ich in Lissabon nichts außer Ärzte, Krankenhäuser und Apotheken gesehen habe, werde ich traurig und müde, bin enttäuscht. Mai Chau. Bydleli jsme v krásném a tichém homestay hned na kraji rýžového pole. Každé ráno jsme měli skvělou snídani a výborný kafe. Projeli jsme se na sebevražedných kolech, což byl docela boj. 28/04/24, Scotland Backpacking Day 10. Loch Ness 360/South Loch Ness Trail, wild camp a few miles past Dores to Inverness City Centre, 10.22kms (6.35mls), 55mtrs (180ft) total ascent. A cold night apparently as although I was snug wrapped up in my 25 Fahrenheit quilt when I woke at 6am to get an early start there was frost and ice on my tent and guy lines were frozen solid!!! Slow to pack up in the cold but once done continued through the plantation , looking back there seemed to be a lot of mist hanging over the Loch, then a small amount of farmland before entering a forest to Torbeck on the outskirts of Inverness where the SLNT finishes. Today was the Etappe Loch Ness Sportive, I didn’t know this till I saw signs on Friday, a 66 Mile ride around the Loch and as I was in Torbeck the 1st riders were due to finish there final few miles so took road into centre rather than River Ness route to cheer them on. Finished the walk at the castle, where the great Glen way finishes and after milling around for a bit watching the cyclists I went and checked into my room for a night early and after some chores went back to centre for lunch and resupply before heading g back to room to chill. #lochness #lochness360 #southlochnesstrail #hiking #backpacking #scotland
Before my four-day Aswan to Luxor luxury cruise started, I had built in an extra day to explore Aswan. Stupidly, I went to Philae Temple, on an island, not realizing that it would be included as part of the cruise experience. Yet, less than half an hour after I arrived, police showed up by motorboat to close it early, saying that a windstorm made conditions too dangerous to stay. So, I ended up being thankful to get a second chance on Day 1 of the cruise. These are the best pics from two separate days at Philae!

The Hunnasgiriya Waterfall, also known as Hunnas Falls, is a popular scenic spot located near Matale, Sri Lanka, at a distance of about 22 kilometers from Kandy. Standing tall at 48 meters, it boasts a cascading fall divided into two sections, creating a wide spectacle. 🏞️🌿 Though not natural, the falls were created by the Elkaduwa plantation and are fed by a stream originating from the nearby Hunnasgiriya mountain peak. The surrounding landscaped gardens and the Hunas Falls Hotel add to the beauty of the location. 🌊 Visitors can take a dip in the pool at the base of the falls, especially during the rainy season when the falls are at their most powerful.
