This is due to God's temperament and further explanation cannot be given without asking God himself about it. . - There are two types of interpretations of the Koran: Tafseer and Taweel. Tafseer is the interpretation of the Koran based upon one's own intellectual understanding, research in dictionaries and Sharia - in short, it is based upon exoteric knowledge. On the other hand, a Taweel is based upon esoteric knowledge - . . it is divine inspiration sent by God onto a saint of God. - The exoteric interpretation of 'Al Ast Bi Rabbikum' is 'Am I not your Lord'? But the esoteric interpretation -which is more appropriate - is, 'Am I not with your Provider?' There is a huge difference between the words 'Rab' and 'Mabood'. 'Mabood' means 'Creator' and 'Rab' means 'Provider'. The context of this statement in Koran 7:172 is that God had gathered the souls of the messengers, prophets and saints and stood next to them, saying to the souls, 'Am I not with your Provider?' Because on Earth, the prophets, messengers and saints would be the ones who would nurture the souls of common people. They would be the ones who dispensed guidance to people. As a result, they do not accurately convey what really happened, however, the viewer leaves the cinema thinking that what they just saw is what happened in reality with the historical and religious figures the movie portrayed. - . . Just look at Pakistani dramas. If the director is part of the Wahhabi sect, the characters in his show will follow his tenets and he will use the drama to convey his belief system. And if the director is a Sunni, he will not project his tenet in the drama, but he will definitely include a scene of a Sufi shrine at some point in the drama. A Sufi is one who cleanses his heart and body through invocation of God’s name and divine energy - and he does so in a way that he removes all else but God from within him. A Prophetic Tradition states that the hearts of Devout Believers become the divine abode; so there must be teachings that shape up such a heart: Sufism. Prophet Mohammad and God appointed Ali to spread the teachings of Sufism; Prophet Mohammad said that he is the City of Knowledge and Ali is its gate. If an enlightened man and an enlightened woman marry, then it’s done upon God’s given criteria. If they divorce, this would anger God. However, if an enlightened man and an unenlightened woman were to marry, their divorce wouldn’t affect God at all since their marriage was not in accordance with his advice, to begin with. . . . If an enlightened man and woman marry, the divine energy in their hearts would keep them together. Then in this scenario, if matters deteriorate, the husband can serve his wife part one of the divorce. This is because acceptance of worship is subject to the presence of the heart in the worship, which is only obtained through spiritual knowledge. When there is nobody who can awaken and enlighten your heart, any form of worship performed becomes dubious and subject to a lot of divine scrutinies. So in Prophet Mohammad's era, it was only through him that one could be connected to God; no other religion besides Islam could connect one to God at that time. So in that era, if someone renounced Islam for another religion, they would be hell-bound. - It was not possible for someone to sincerely join Islam in the era of Prophet Mohammad and not be blessed; therefore they would never feel the need to renounce the religion. However, those who joined the ranks of the Muslims with a hidden agenda would later 'renounce' Islam to go back to the enemies of Islam. A 'Tabay' is one who did not live in Prophet Mohammad's time; rather he lived in the time of the Companions and accepted Islam through them. The people who accepted Islam through the Tabieen came to be known as the 'Taba Tabieen'. However, nobody went to Owais Qarni in Yemen with the message of Islam, therefore he does not fit in the categories of Tabieen or Taba Tabieen. . . - It was Prophet Mohammad who told Umar and Ali to go to Yemen, where Owais Qarni was. He said, ‘There is a man who loves me rapturously there. He takes them out of the darkness into the light'. Quran 2:257 . . . Therefore, the first step towards becoming a saint of God is to become a devout believer. . . . The approval from God in Sufism comes in the form of the Permission for Activation of the Heart (Izn-e-Dhikr-e-Qalb). This is the first lesson of Sufism. Just as one must go through the embassy of the country one seeks a visa from, in a similar way, those who seek God's approval cannot ask God directly, they need to seek permission through a divine embassy. And God's embassies are his friends. . . . When a seeker comes to apply for God's love, their application is to verbally repeat 'Allah Hoo' three times after the Spiritual Mentor. This is the declaration on their part that they wish to obtain the servitude of the Lord. Now, the saint of God, the Spiritual Mentor, will take their profile to Bait al Mamour (The Original Worship Place) where the special angels take that profile to God. God will ask, 'Why have you brought him here?' The Spiritual Mentor will reply, 'I have brought him to befriend you'. If God is interested in accepting the seeker’s friendship, he will ask for a guarantor (Wali Murshid) who will take responsibility for the seeker so that they do not deviate from the path. Saints from the religion the applicant follows will be summoned. If God accepts the seeker, he will grant him Permission for the Activation of the Heart and entrust him in the spiritual custody of the respective Spiritual Mentor for spiritual training. . . . Sufism begins with God's approval, the Permission for Activation of the Heart. This is academic Sufism.
