Some of my favorite details so far in this build; -The donut racks in the shop -The desks on the second floor of the police station, especially the type writer. -The BEST stairs I've ever seen designed for a Lego building EVER; using old pieces that have existed a long time! -The second floor apartment's Murphy bed and the kitchen appliances. -The #NewLegoElements; the the cool curvy tan pieces that give several spots a neat swoopy, smooth look. As far as the sets go; these are the set parts that I find the most interesting (and the ones I'm most likely to buy). The shipping boat opens up into a large playset, but I think it looks really good as a non-floating #LegoCargoShip. No complaints there. So let's talk about this new #LegoTheme; #TheMonkieKid coming for #LegoSummer2020. For those of you new to the theme (there have been several #LegoLeaks - this wasn't kept as underwraps as #TheLegoCompany wanted). It's a series coming from China and is being launched with an anime-stylized tv series as well. They look... Really really interesting. On a purely visual level- I think the sets look fantastic. I mean- the sets are EXPENSIVE; absolutely no doubt about it. They start around $60 and run upwards of 170. Parts-wise, the price looks to be pretty expensive, but these sets do have really impressive builds, an interesting array of #NewLegoElements and some really cool #PartsUsage. Today's second little build- Mia's new #LegoHorseTrailer. Can I ask what up with these girls changing thier hair colors? First Olivia was a white girl- now she's Hispanic with olive/tan skin. Now, Mia (my SigFig hair came from her!) - she's got this BRIGHT fake red hair now. What's up with that change?! Realistic hair was too much? I love it! Looks fantastic! (Despite the printing error and the weak quality control of the printing of the characters. Honestly- Lego owes us a redo. I don't really understand why all these characters in a comedy show have a really angry face and a neutral face- plus, the colors on the bodies are really messed up. not Look at Joey's "white" tshirt (it's pink from all the red bleeding through the tiny amount of white ink they used).
