As you all probably know, I have had the absolute worst luck with X2 over my last 4 visits. If you haven’t guessed already, I am currently 0/4 with X2. It blows my mind how many times I’ve tried to ride X2 and it’s been down for lots of different reasons, that being either weather, Matinence, or other factors. X2 is one of my most sought after credits at the moment and is one of the main reasons I want to get back to the park again. Hey, but at least it’s not as bad as @airtimethrills battle with flying turns. 0/3 with that ride is the worst. What ride have you never gotten to experience over your visits to a theme park? Batman The Ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain is an awesome smaller scale B&M invert. There are tons of clones of this specific layout found everywhere around North America, but this is the only one I’ve done so far. And let me just say, this year specifically, Batman is running exceptionally well. The intensity feels like it’s been cranked up 2 times more than my last rides and it’s running much faster than it used to. Because of that, Batman is now my 2nd favorite invert behind Banshee which most likely won’t be for too long, but this year specifically, it blew me away. What’s your favorite Batman clone? Take a quick glimpse at them here! ❄️ 𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐫'𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 Kicking off the month, we attended @ridewithace New England's annual The Great Nor'Easter, which featured presentations from many parks in New England and New York. The event was jam-packed with information, which we highlighted in five detailed posts. 🎅 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐅𝐥𝐲𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚'𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 Midnight Flyer at @santasvillagenh grew quickly as the @vekoma.rides.manufacturing coaster went vertical in our first update of the month, and track completion was achieved by our second update. 🌊 𝐖𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐝 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 The epic new @whitewaterwest slide tower at @wickedwavescapecod also saw immense growth in March. Slide installation of Boomerang Blaster was nearing completion in our first update of the month. By our second update, installation was complete, and installation of the other four slides had begun. 🐺 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐱𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 After no update in February, we checked on the progress of @greatwolflodge at @foxwoods. Additional construction of the hotel and family entertainment center has occurred. Progress was also made on the water park building, and footers for the slides have been poured and set. My TT2 Review: ❖ I got to ride Top Thrill 2 10 times, twice in the front. Top Thrill 2 is an amazing ride. Despite all the negativity surrounding it, I think it will surprise many people. ❖ To start, the first launch isn’t as punchy as Dragster, but this was expected. It’s similar to a Mack launch but a little stronger. The speed of this launch isn’t bad, and it builds anticipation. At this point, you’re going the same speed as Steel Vengeance. ❖ The backward launch is a highlight of the ride. To be going that fast already, you feel the train speeding up backward. This launch feels very powerful despite only gaining about 30 mph. ❖ The spike is different from what I expected. I didn't really feel the airtime. But its height is really cool, going above Rougarou and Power Tower. ❖ The third launch is fantastic. You’re already going 100 mph, and continue to pick up speed. The top hat is also really good! Airtime is much stronger and more prevalent than it was initially. I expect this element to get better in warmer temperatures, as it was only about 42 degrees when I rode it. ❖ The only downside to it is that it is a very shaky ride. I think that the shakiness could be a critical flaw for some people. As for me, I didn't mind it. It made the ride feel even more intense while traveling at 100+ mph. But I understand why people might dislike it because of this, so be prepared for a shaky ride. The black & blue trains are the smoothest. ❖ I got to ride it twice in front, and I can say, even with the spike, it is still a front row ride in my opinion. ❖ Overall, I would say it’s quite an improvement.
