New life is coming to South Tacoma Way! There is a restaurant opening its doors on May 17th that is steeped in good Tacoma history. Watching the 1919 Realart Theater change shape has been amazing to see. From a 500 seat theater in the heart of the train yard district on STW to a dance hall, to a restaurant, and now back! @edisonsquaretacoma has transformed this space into a theater and live event haven today but now a burger joint called Radnorās is opening up alongside this iconic space. During the day (Wed-Sun 11-5) the former theater will be the dining room for the new restaurant, @radnorstacoma . After 5pm, Edison will continue to be activated with public & private events. The name is taken from the founder and owner of the 1919 Realart Theater, Radnor Pratsch. Radnor was an avid yachtsman, brave adventurer, and constant community activist. Radnorās is opening on May 17th and to celebrate they are offering a FREE smash burger to the first 253 people to show up. Years ago when we lived in Nashville, I (Michele) connected with this tiny little goat farm that was putting out some very limited, really incredible skincare products. I became instantly addicted to their "Elasticity Serum" and soaps. Fast forward to more than a decade later, I knew that @littleseedfarm was going to be one of the first product lines I carried in the shop! And it's been incredible to see how they've grown. It's official! Tuesday, May 7th will be our very first "Afternoon Adventures" kids activity time! The cost is $25 per child and includes the activity and all supplies, as well as a light snack and drink. At our very first "Afternoon Adventure" on May 7th, children will be given the opportunity to write and illustrate their own storybook or comic book, and then have it published! Kiddos will be able to take this project home to finish up if they don't have enough time during the structured activity time. Instructions on sending the paperwork off for publishing will be given (it's included in the cost of the activity, so won't cost you any extra to have it published). Also, you can order additional copies for friends and family if your kid just knocks it out of the park! ;) Link to sign up is in our bio and also on our website, and you can purchase in store if you stop in and see us.
