Harvey is one laid back baby! Zero tears on night one was exactly what his mum and dad needed to make it through this journey. They’d had a pretty tough time in the first few months. Our discovery call was deeply upsetting. His mum was being pounded by the gentle sleep world telling her to co-sleep and to feed to sleep and to just suck it up as it was normal- sleep training is the 😈 and all that nonsensical jazz. But she did not feel normal- it all felt unbearable. So when he didn’t cry and went to sleep all night long with two dreamfeeds she was so relieved. When he did his first independent naps without a single tear she was over the moon. We did face resistance a few days in on getting longer naps but that is normal for his age- and we did crack it in the end. Every baby is a puzzle and it is about solving their own puzzle. I will always say this but I do not use ‘cry’ based methods and ‘cry’ based methods do not exist. If your baby is going to resist change they will cry regardless of the method. My method is fast but it works! Harvey just got it immediately and has never stopped sleeping since.
