Finished oil on paper study of J-hope. I have never tried to use oil on paper before, but I was pleasantly surprised by the result. I primed watercolour paper with a layer of gesso and it worked like a charm. The tiny portrait took me so long haha (2+ hours) and Instagram had the audacity to cut part of his legs off. Oh well… hope you like it anyway!💜❤️
Hi lovely people! I know it’s been a while but I’m back with a new painting! Unfortunately Instagram cut off a good chunk of the sky. I honestly love this one so much. I had so much fun painting the folds in the fabrics. The rocks in the front were a bit of a pain but after many many layers it all slowly came together. I took this reference photo a couple summers ago and the base of the painting had been sitting in my studio for quite some time. I am thrilled that I finally got some time to work on it :)

After a few tweaks and changes here is my finished painting “Reflections”. This one was a great learning experience, and I appreciate all the help and feedback I got on this painting.
I started this landscape a while back last summer on our trip to Romania but never finished it. I found it again and decided to see what I could do with it. I just think it’s so gorgeous the way the water rushes over the rocks at the bottom, and the greens just give it so much life. The lovely reference photo was taken by @gal_gabika I highly recommend you check out his page for more amazing photography!

Here is “Clear Round”. This is the second painting in the “Equestrian” series. I had a lot of fun with the blurred background and the folds in the riders clothes. I used to work as a stable hand in exchange for riding lessons when I was younger. I don’t think I was ever more excited to clean up after horses 😂 But I loved it for some reason.
