I think about the time he caught the same girl’s tears when she had a bad day. When the loneliness and anxiety was overwhelming for that now older girl, and a long ride made her remember where home is. I think about the National Champion title that horse gave her and the countless ribbons and garlands that came before it. The friends that were made, the memories that followed. All because of him. He lent her confidence when she needed it most, a sense of freedom when she felt trapped, and a soft nose when she sought comfort. He is with her until the end. A je to tu, příspěvek o poslední disciplíně z New Generation Horse Show. A jak asi většina z vás tuší, jedná se o disciplínu Western Pleasure. Jelikož to byla poslední disciplína dne a i celých závodů, byli jsme již oba dva na pokraji našich sil. Již v průběhu celého dne jsem se rozmýšlela, zda se z této disciplíny neodhlásit. Pleasure mám velmi ráda a moc jsem se na něj těšila, ale už jsem na Matrixovi i na sobě cítila, že je toho za ty 4 dny až moc. Přeci jen byly to naše první jezdecké závody. Zpětně je samozřejmě každý chytrý a ví všechno nejlépe. A i já teď vím, že nechat to tehdy být a zakončit závody dopoledním Horsemanshipem by byla lepší volba. Já se ale rozhodla, že když už tu jsme a startovné máme zaplacené, tak to dotahneme do konce a disciplínu odjedeme. Již na opracovišti mí Méťa dával velmi výrazně najevo, že má dost a jezdit už nechce. U Matrixe platí jednoduchá rovnice. Čím víc je unavený = tím rychlejší a zbrklejší je A přesně tak to také bylo. Říkala jsem si, že být anglické disciplíny místo prvního dne dnes (tedy v neděli) bylo by to pro nás ideální. 🤦😂 No nic, bylo to mé rozhodnutí zůstat v disciplíně přihlášena, tak jsem musela bojovat. 🙂 Nakonec to nebylo tak špatné, jak jsem čekala. Lítali jsme sice jako rakety 🚀, ale jinak byl Méťa zlatý. I přes únavu se snažil vyhovět okamžitě všem pobídkám. Ovšem myslím si, že v hlavě jsme měli oba dva tu stejnou myšlenku. „Hlavně ať to máme co nejdříve za sebou." Jak u vás probíhá období podzimu a zimy? Najíždíte na zimní přípravu nebo vám naopak nastalo období klidu a odpočinku? U nás je to řekla bych celý rok tak nějak stejné. S Méťou jsem sice denně, ale jezdím nebo spíše „trénuju" tak 2-3x týdně. No dobře, nebudeme si nic nalhávat, spíš 1-2x týdně. 😅😅 A to jak přes sezónu, tak přes zimu. Samozřejmě tím, že neholím a nedekuju, tréninky během zimního chlupatého období mi zabírají mnohem více času. Musím počítat s tím, že 2x tolik času, co investuji do tréninku musím následně investovat do pořádného vykrokování a vysušení. Já si ten čas ale ráda udělám. Protože chci, aby ten můj blonďatej prďola mohl žít, co možná nejvíce podobný život jeho divokých předků. Chci aby mohl běhat se stádem a to v jakémkoli počasí a aby mohl naplnit veškeré své sociální potřeby. A co dělám v ty zbylé dny, kdy Méťu netrápím na jízdárně? Předposlední disciplína, která nás čekala byl Horsemanship. Konečně jsme mohla nasedlat a nemusela jsem se bát, že za jízdy opustím hřbet koně a pobavím všechny v hale. 😂 No ale strach a stres mě příliš neopouštěl. Horsemanship je pro mě totiž už dlouhá léta velmi obávaná a náročná disciplína. Hlídat si sed a americký úsměv na tváři, správně vést koně a myslet na přesnost úlohy dá pěkně zabrat. 😁 Naštěstí mám skvělého koně, který mi spoustu chyb odpouští a i přes moje zmatky spoustu situací zvládne sám zachránit. 🙏 Úloha byla postavena na strašně malém prostoru a přiznávám se, že mě to dost vykolejilo. Cvalové půlkruhy byly totiž určitě alespoň o polovinu menší, než které jsme trénovali doma. 🤦😁 Další záludností byl pro nás prodloužený klus, který není Matrixovou silnou stránkou a opět obávaný přechod ze cvalu do kroku. Když se na to ale dívám zpětně, musím naší úlohu zhodnotit jako poměrně vydařenou. Pořád si také musím připomínat, že to byli Méťovi první závody pod sedlem a nemůžu od něj chtít výkony, jak po koni, který soutěží 10 let. 😊 A jaké byly nakonec naše výsledky? V neděli ráno jsem byla pěkně nervózní, ale hlavně už pořádně unávaná. Nejen že jsme za sebou měli již mnoho startů a čekal nás poslední závodní den, ale také jsem se v sobotu večer do pozdních večerních hodin perfektně bavila na zábavě zorganizované právě pro účastníky soutěže. 💃🕺 Zábava byla perfektní, tančili jsme, zpívali jsme a všichni jsme se krásně odreagovali od závodního stresu. No umíte si to ale následující ráno představit. 😁 A to že jsme začínali disciplínou Bareback Horsemanship, tudíž jízdou bez sedla, mi na klidu moc nepřidalo. 🤦😁 Už chápete ty mé ranní nervičky? Stres jsem překonala, dala si dobrou kávu na ranní snídani, a už jsme byli na opracovišti a snažili se tam něco vykouzlit. Měla jsem startovat pouze v jedné třídě, ale po chvilce rozmýšlení jsem se rozhodla dohlásit i do třídy druhé a trochu se znemožnit. 🤦😂 První úlohu jsme měli jakž takž nacvičenou a vyzkoušenou, ale ta druhá... No panečku, Věrka zase dříve mluvila a přihlašovala, než myslela. 😁 Nejen že se v úloze vyskytovalo nacválání z místa, které vůbec neumíme, také byly v úloze dva obraty, na které jsme nebyli vůbec připraveni a tak bych mohla pokračovat dál a dál. 😂 Prostě úloha těžce za našimi možnosti. No rozhodla jsem se, přihlásila se, tak jsme museli bojovat. A jak to nakonec dopadlo? 🤩 Náš první trail. 🤩 Hodně jsem se ho bála, obzvlášť po předchozím né úplně vydařeném opracování. Dopadlo to ale nad moje očekávání. Celou úlohu jsme zvládli projít pouze s jedním zádrhelem při zpomalení po cvalových kavaletách do kroku. Matrixovi již při opracování nevycházely cvalové kavalety a řešil si to přechodem do klusu. Během soutěže jsem se ho snažila co nejvíce napobízet a udržet ve cvalu. Povedlo se, ale rozběhla jsem ho tak moc, že se mu následně nechtělo brzdit. No rozumím mu, když už to tělo konečně rozhýbal, proč by měl sakra hned zase brzdit? 😁🙈 Nemůžu být víc než pyšná. Ráda bych pokračovala v našich závodních zážitcích ze čtyřdenních závodů @new_generation_horse_show . Po sobotním úspěšném ránu v Halter disciplínách nás čekala naše (moje) nejoblíbenější disciplína Showmanship at halter. Startovali jsme ve dvou třídách a to ve třídě Novice Non pro a Non pro. V Showmanshipu jde o předvedení koně na ruce v úloze, která je předem daná rozhodčím. V každé úloze se většinou vyskytuje krok, klus, prodloužený klus, couvání, obrat kolem zádi a inspekce. Nehodnotí se pouze poslušnost koně a přesné předvedení úlohy, ale také schopnost vodiče koně předvést. Dvojice by během úlohy měla ukázat vzájemnou spolupráci a souhru. Úlohy, které jsme zaběhli na NGHS, nepatřily zrovna mezi naše nejlepší. Matrix nebyl tak pozorný jako jindy a v obratech se necítil zrovna nejjistěji. I tak jsme se snažili vydat ze sebe to nejlepší a předvést kvalitní úlohy. Nakonec nás výsledky velmi příjemně překvapily. Since I’m away from Cherokee on vacation I thought I’d share a little about me! Horses for me started at an early age. I was ten when I got my first horse and started riding at the age of five. Since then I’ve done everything from Hunter under saddle, driving, western pleasure, reining and barrels. My passion is for the pleasure and trail but reining is another passion I want to learn more about! I’ve had grade horses, ranch horses to world champion level horses. I was lucky enough to attend world in 2011 and came home with horse of the year! Now I mostly ride for fun however have goals to get back into the show pen!
