So for people that don’t know me. I like to learn and teach myself stuff. I love making things which is why I’m studying to be an artist. I also love electronics and learning programming. I usually use python on my home server but I wanted to make a shutter speed tester for my vintage cameras. You know. To check the shutter speed… because normal people do these types of things 🤣. So I’m building a shutter speed tester. It’s a work in progress. The design has changed 3 times in the last 10 days. Being a nerd I had most of the parts laying around from other projects. It will run 3 laser trip wires per se that measure the shutter curtain in the middle and each side. It’s a pile of wires at the moment but I have my sketch of the enclosure which needs refined and drafted out in CAD still but. It’s progress. I had a mystery person help me from Reddit on the code so far and it works!! The screen doesn’t work yet but I can see the calculations on my computer screen. I need to recode it. Oof. I’ve got a lot to learn. The lasers and a mount for the camera are going to be the only moving parts which will be mounted on a rail.
