Going through some cans I scooped up while in Nashville a couple weeks back. Think the *Quackenbruck* was spot on for this early Tuesday evening. Pours beautiful gold, slightly hazy and effervescent. Flavor is fantastically bright and hoppy, clean and crispy with a soft bite. The drinkability of this pils is addictive level for sure, especially on a hot and humid Louisiana day like today. Certainly a first class stab at a German style pils done with amazing results. Really happy I stopped in. Kudos to our buddies over in East Nashville, @smithandlentzbeer. Cheers! 🍻

Figured on this beautiful day it was time to see how things turned out. Electric sharp sour, candy warhead acidic backbone with some nice blackberry fruitiness. World class beer here, been drinking Brouwerij Huyghe brews for a a while now but something about *Delirium Tremens* today after some productive yard work. Was looking for something a bit more refreshing and lighter, but this makes one hell of a garden beer I'd say. Pours strong with a whipped cream head. Smells of bitter clove and fresh baked bread. Flavor is a complexity of mild spice and lemon peel, crackers and bitter hops. Certainly warming at 8.5% ABV. Celebrate this Sunday with a good brew my friends. Cheers! 🍻

Keeping a berry theme here going today on good Friday. Dropped in some blueberry bushes along the fence in the backyard this afternoon. Tilled some dirt and added some stones, planted and watered in...makes for a nice backdrop. Time for a brew! *Oscar* from @newbelgium is one absurd sour. Reminiscent of European style Flanders, really awesome complexity in this one. Smells of balsamic berries, flavor is blackberry vinegar with hints of whiskey and oak. First sip was pretty intense of sharp tartness, leaves the lips quenched with juicy fruit residue. Intensity subsides and drinks very well for a 8.8% ABV brew. Stoked to have popped this one today, a real kudos to the folks running the *Wood Cellar Reserve* series up there in CO. Cheers! 🍻

Really wonderful beer here from @jesterkingbrewery. Looks to be a collaboration with @celestialbeerworks. Pours a beautiful faint hazy gold with fluffy airy foam on top. Drinks great with a lighter body, enjoyable hop profile, and a unique yeast and almost champagne dryness. As it warms slightly, more subtle citrus notes and bitterness develops. A bit behind on my celebration beer. The big day was yesterday, finally sold my house after months of shenanigans. With that being said, started slinging mud this morning at my new place for a future garden space and after the productive deed was done...time for a brew! I had to go big for the occasion, and wow! Probably the greatest raspberry beer I've ever had. @jesterkingbrewery has been brewing this one for a while but this was my first experience. The first sip of this was absolutely extraordinary. A vortex of tart, juicy, fruity raspberry flavor that's taken to its highest level imaginable. Being barrel aged and unfiltered gives this sour amazing complexity of subtle tannin, almost grape skin mouthfeel with a hint of oak. Thinking sour raspberry wine. And the finish is so pleasing, cleanly washing away the fierce raspberry preparing the palette for another juicy sip. I have to say the hype is real on this one. Happy Mardi Gras my friends! Spending the day off with a freshly fired up Oklahoma Joe and a handful of craft brews. Scooped this 4 pack up from @lazymagnoliabrewery this past weekend after the champions spin to celebrate. Quite surprised considering these guys aren't known for IPAs but this one is dang solid. Perfect balance of bitter grapefruit and sweet citrus. Hazy density is spot on, sitting at 7% with high drinkability really makes this one a perfect beer on such a beautiful day. This beer was named after the Bird of the Century, the Puteketeke, as awarded by @forestandbird Awarded because it's fun to say and the bird has a mullet or something. Lots of delicious NZ white wine vibes in this 100% New Zealand hopped brew. It's smooth as! Slightly acidic notes of peach, passionfruit, pineapple, white grape and spritzy berries come together in a semi sweet well made pils. Turned out to be a beautiful chilly day in Southern Louisiana. Couldn't decide on a beastly stout or a tart sour today after some work on the house so went with this imperial amber from Komes. Been holding on to this one for a while now. Poured a deep amber with plenty of light frothy head. Bottle fermentation has a great brut like effervescence. Not too crazy complex here, a bit malty, a bit hoppy. Nice and dry with some light pear flavors. Really hard to believe this is sitting at 10% ABV. Certainly packs a punch but the booziness is kept pretty quiet. Great drinkability out here while barbecuing. Overall, pretty solid and probably most unique amber I've had, kudos to the good folks out in Poland for this one. Cheers! 🍻
