Heute ist ein schöner sommerlicher #stoutsunday und somit stelle Ich euch das Imperial Stout @freistilbeer vor, welches den Namen Oberstadt bekommen hat. In tiefschwarzer Farbe mit kaffeebrauner recht beständiger Schaumkrone zeigt sich dieses Imperial Stout aus Tübingen im Glas. Bestückt ist es mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 8,5% ABV. In die Nase strömt nach dem öffnen eine nussige und röstige Aromenvielfalt die sich dann geschmacklich etwas verändert. Ein recht säuerlicher Espresso-Geschmack macht sich hier vom ersten Schluck an breit. The weekend was of course the @livgolf_league tournament held here in Adelaide, South Australia. It’s the one event I’ve been looking forward to all year! Local legends @piratelifebeer have joined up with the LIV crew to have a PL x LIV GOLF Lager 4% ABV. This beer is sold exclusively at the LIV event. I love the look of the can, which resembles the dimples on a golf ball. The beer is super crisp and very easy to drink. 🍺 Tarturus Slenderman 🍺 Today's Stout Sunday is another big hitter from @tartarusbeers with this 11% Imperial Cookies & Cream Stout. It had a nice thick mouthfeel with malty biscuity flavour and sweet chocolate & vanilla giving it that full on Oreo taste but for me it was nowhere near as good as their Python stout I had last week. Python was an absolute overload of sweetness but it had lashings of caramel flavour which I loved whereas this had the addition of lactose which just gave it an artificial sweetness to it which then followed with a really strong boozy bitter finish. @baylandsbrewery - WaiFly 10 Fresh Hop IPA 6.5% 10th edition of this fresh hop classic in the style most reminiscent of a WCIPA. 🍻Pours golden amber with transparent clarity and aromas of passionfruit and tropics. 🍻Brewed with fresh Nelson hops from @claytonhops_nz as well as a smattering of other NZ hops, this is a hop party on the palate. 🍻Dank and resinous. Although perhaps missing the true fresh hop taste, to me this is the kind of taste I yearn for in a beer. A beautiful long weekend in Kuratau comes to an end. @wiperandtrue Milk Shake Milk Stout 5.6% 👍 Been looking forward to today, got WRC highlights on before the start of the British Touring Car Championship. Now there’s a good excuse to have a couple of beers! This pours dark with a light biscuit head and has a malty stout aroma. Taste has levels to it, initially a malty boot to the chops followed by gentle creamy/milky notes all wrapped up in a coffee-ish feel. Then to finish a slight burnt stout aftertaste.
