Mi na początek trafiła się warka do 30.08 W aromacie jest fajna, nie dominująca wędzonka i pojawiają się też owoce: cytrusy, brzoskwinia, mango. W smaku przyjemnie zaskakuje, goryczka jest zdecydowanie wyższa niż w typowym grodziszu, chociaż też nie jest zbyt wysoka. Poza tym jest oczywiście wędzonka, lecz na niższym poziomie niż zwykle, są owoce cytrusowe, może w tle przewija się jakieś mango, pojawiają się nuty ziołowe. Piwo jest lekkie, orzeźwiające i mega pijalne jak to grodziskie. Seriously, check that color! • Maiden of Pain - Rye IPA We first brewed this beer in August of 2023 + it was well received with a 3.9 on Untappd. It also earned the #1 rated Rye IPA in the State of VA via Untappd. We're never satisfied, of course, so Russ has some tweaks he wanted to do on the recipe, so here is version 2.0 The peppery spice of rye + bright, citrusy hops for complex flavors. Dank, resiny, earthy hop aroma with a subtle malt sweetness. Lingering bitterness that carries hop flavors through finish. We're canning 5 new cans on Monday: • The Death of Civilization in Slow Motion II. 90% cleaning, 10% waiting for your lagers to drop bright. They say that brewing is 90% cleaning but what they don't tell you is you spend most of that time waiting for your lager to clear. I have been working on a few homebrewing projects and even at the 30 litre scale there is no hurrying it. I mean... there is it is called gelatine but why use an animal product if time will do the job and you have cleaning to do. First homebrew video in over a year coming in June! Hopefully lots more to follow too. If the beers clear.

Najsłabszy z serii "Arcy", ale no tego chyba można było się spodziewać. Goryczki bym się nie czepiał, bo wiadomo, że to lager, a nie pils, ale jednak wytrawności troszkę mu brakuje, bo tego bym się jednak spodziewał i oczekiwał po ryżowym lagerze. Divan Nectar 🛋️ 🍻 While known for their English-style beers, like most breweries @isledegarde often dabble in the hoppier side of things. They keep to their roots, however and their popular IPA Divan (sofa IPA) is an experiment in bringing traditional English yeasts into the IPA world. Here, they experimented with a combination of hops from Europe and New Zealand, creating a unique British/European/New Zealand hybrid beer that just works. 🇬🇧 🇪🇺 🇳🇿 It boasts an interesting bouquet of hoppy aromas with notes of cantaloup and white grapes back by a sticky sweet biscuity malt backbone. All this is then complimented by an array of fruity English yeast esters and floral hop accents. It’s all about the malts on the sip, which bring notes of honey and digestive biscuits and a nice chewy roundness which really supports the juicy hops well. Despite this it’s super easy drinking and fruity, finding a nice balance between bitter and sweet. Still those herbs/spices but still not sure which herb or spice it is. I might just be completely off on the type but I am sure there is something there. Other than the spices I think there's a bit of lemon. Aftertaste...more herbs. 💬: I'm thinking either blonde, wheat beer or spring bock. Now, that means three options. Jopen - Spring is in the air, Kompaan - Witte Was or TX Springbock. Now, the fast disappearing foam reminded me of something and when I checked the description of Witte Was it mentions Szechuan pepper. So...I'm saying it's the Kompaan beer! Am I correct? Hier in Chester gibt es dann doch ein Brauhaus innerhalb der Stadtmauern. Seit 1535(!) wird hier Bier gebraut! Wow! Die Rede ist von der "Pied Bull Brewery" in die wir gerade reingekommen sind und mit einem leckeren Malzgeruch begrüßt wurden. Wir sitzen im Innenhof und genießen das tolle Wetter mit einem "Pied Bull Tangibull", einen 4,7%igen Pale Ale. Wie es sich hier in England gehört, wird bei diesem Obergärigen keine Kohlensäure geboten, zudem ist es relativ warm. Ja, ein gepumptes Bier eben. Der Antrunk ist sehr trocken und leicht bitter. Es kommen viele trockene Zitrusfrüchte durch, unter anderem kann ich Zitronen, Orangen (plus Schale) und eben die Mandarinen schmecken. Letzteres Aroma wird ja im Namen schon angedeutet (Tangerine). Auch im weiteren Verlauf wird es immer trockener und auch gut bitter, die Fruchtsäure lässt sich auch nicht lumpen. Ja, das hier ist mal ein kräftiges Pale Ale! Gut gemacht! Brouwdag, Yoda's Beerhut x @jelsterbier Vandaag was daar dan eindelijk de brouwdag voor mijn collab met Jelster. Dit bier word gebrouwen voor mijn aanstaande level 40 in juli en vond dat daar wel een eigen bier bij hoort. Kwam vorig jaar al met het idee en kwam gelijk uit bij Jelster en met hulp van Ari en Jelle vandaag dus 80L gebrouwen. Ook nog de testbatch van dit bier geproefd en nog wat aanpassingen gedaan tijdens het proces. Tijdens het brouwen blijkt dat we niet alles in 1 tank gingen krijgen en bleef er ook nog ongeveer 40L over, waar we dus een ander type bier van hebben gemaakt. Maar het bier waar het om ging is gebrouwen en dat word een toppert. Dus zal jullie op de hoogte houden hoe deze zich gaan ontwikkelen. Erg blij al met het resultaat van de testbatch en wat een mooie dag was dat vandaag. We appreciate Entertainment Ignited and all the vendors and musicians that came out for hosting it with us here. When I think of Nashville 🍺, one of the first breweries (if not the first) that comes to mind is @southerngristbrewing. We receive a good amount of Southern Grist releases/options in Knoxville, but I love visiting in person during my Nashville trips!! I have been to The Nations Taproom a few times, but my last visit to Nashville I stopped by the East Nashville location!! This welcoming taproom opened back in 2021, and it still feels brand new!! Easy parking, to-go options (I grabbed a few to bring back with me), merch, a couple different patios and a really solid selection of beers on tap!! I enjoyed my visit!! Durch Zufall haben wir beim Spaziergang auf der Stadtmauer von Chester an der weltberühmten Eastgate Clock (nach Big Ben die zweitmeist fotografierte Uhr in Großbritannien!) einen Ausschank der Chester Beer Company gefunden. Dieser Gypsybrauer hat noch keine eigene Brauerei, aber es werden bereits sechs verschiedene Biere angeboten, darunter zwei vom Fass. Nun probiere ich das "Chesters Deva IPA" mit 5,6vol.% Alkohol. Es riecht säuerlich, der erste Schluck bietet eine subtile Säure an. Und eine fruchtige Süße. Pfirsiche sind zu schmecken, auch kommen Aromen von Orangen durch. Im weiteren Verlauf ist mal wieder eine leichte Säure vorhanden, der Hopfen hält sich zurück, dieser dürfte aber ruhig etwas kräftiger und knackiger sein. Das "Chesters Deva IPA" ist aber ein gutes Bier. Auf Strecke ist es eher süßer als saurer, nach hinten ist da auch eine leichte Bittere. Der sehr lange Abgang rundet das Bier ab. Wir sind weiterhin in Chester unterwegs und sind nun einmal auf der 2,9km langen Stadtmauer um die Innenstadt spaziert. Damit ist sie die längste Großbritanniens! Unterwegs haben wir an der Eastgate Clock ein Lokal gesehen, dass einige selbstgebraute Biere anbietet. Das hat natürlich motiviert, die Runde schnell zu beenden :-). So sitzen wir nun innen und probieren das "Chesters Northgate Bitter", ein Bier mit entspannten 4% Alkohol. Leider hat mir der Chef hinter der Theke nicht verraten wollen, wo das Bier gebraut wird, eine eigene Brauerei gibt es derzeit noch nicht. Das Bier als solches bietet zu Beginn eine subtile Säure. Direkt im Anschluss kommt viel Karamell durch. Das erzeigt ein schönes Mundgefühl. Das liegt auch daran, dass das Bier weich schmeckt und auch nicht allzu viel Kohlensäure vorhanden ist. Auch ist die Süße angenehm dosiert. Im weiteren Verlauf ist es noch eine Spur weicher, der Hopfen ist ebenfalls zurückhaltend eingesetzt, so dass nur eine leichte Würzigkeit zu schmecken ist. Alles in allem ist das hier ein sehr gutes Bitter!
