had a very different training week this week! so normally I train 3x a week, although this time I had a decent amount of rest on the last few days of my holiday and actually only trained properly only for one day this week! okay it was one day but after 2 weeks on holiday it was so good to come back home to springfield today and get to see everyone again (okay not everyone yet), I missed everything there a lot! gym was back to my usual routine, had no idea how much Iโd miss the wattbike or anything else in the gym! swim was really good as well, really missed doing long swims again, also missed the lane ropes and backstroke flags! did 1,550m of free for the first time in 2 weeks, it was so good doing long swims again, the swim PBs are back again! so right now Iโve done 1,500m of swim this week, with an all time swim distance of 1,500m over a day so far this month and 24,850m so far in 2023! all before rest weekend and in London all day tomorrow for #BigGame14, see you next Monday for week 18! ๐โโ๏ธ ๐ฉด ๐คณ #SpringfieldCommunityCampus #GymAndSwim #LaneSwim #Week17 #NewPB #1550M #NPLQTraining #NPLQBooked #LovedIt
had a really fun training day yesterday! so as well as getting to see @chrisworthy91, Jack E, (Toby) Meakin, Jack M and Callum for the first time in a while, 24 hours after landing I got to go back to springfield and get back to gym and swim again! gym was really good, was back on the wattbike for the first time in 2 weeks and it felt so good to be back on it! there werenโt any wattbikes there, so it was definitely something I missed! then I did whatโs pretty much my usual gym routine, was good to get back to using familiar kit again, particularly the seated lat pulldown and the foam roller, missed those. swim was really good, after doing it in a range of different pools that were different lengths, it was great to be back in the pool here, really missed the lane ropes and the backstroke flags (it was super hard to swim in a straight line without them or d work out how far it was before the end of the length. so after doing 400m in a shorter pool, it was great to be back doing long distances again in a 25m pool again, today I did my first 1,550m long distance swim and in the fast lane as well (thank you for the suggestion Jack E!). turns out having a rest days helped get me a new swim PB, got it down from 46 to 43 minutes, had no idea that would happen 24 hours after landing from 2 long haul flights! as itโs a new month, itโs time to start the monthly total by again, so far this month Iโve done 1,550m in one day so far this month and 26,400m in 2023! now for a rest weekend and #BigGame14 tomorrow, see you all on Monday for the start of week 18!๐ ๐ฆ ๐ดโโ๏ธ ๐ฅต ๐โโ๏ธ ๐ฉด ๐ ๐ ๐คณ #SpringfieldCommunityCampus #BackHome #GymAndSwim #FridayGym #QuinsStash #COYQ #WattBike #LaneSwim #LongerSwim #NewPB #NPLQTraining #LovedIt
