Since I’m just sitting around healing over here, I figured I should finally share my finished art space. This extension off of my bedroom area is what sold me on this home! I love living in my creativity! Waking up with art brings me so much joy! The southern facing windows in this space allows for even light that is brightest during the grey months of winter! I wanted a big work space with counter height tops so I could store supplies in every cranny. I had my Dad build me two end cabinets and lifting bases for under the drawer cabinets to help get that effect. I love the way this turned out and creating art in this space! A Touch Of Brass - Happy Sunday everyone!! What’s everyone’s plans for today? I’m working but we’ve a wee Sunday lunch planned at my mums afterwards which gives me something to look forward to ☺️ I thought I’d share a little before and after of our guest bedroom today as it’s been a while since it appeared on the grid. We’d recently given this room a little budget makeover, moving our bed and bedside tables from upstairs and painting them black. My thoughts on painting a fabric bed….. Did it work? Yes! Would I ever do it again??? Counters got measured this past weekend and now we wait 2 weeks for that to arrive, so in the meantime we’re shifting gears and focusing on the ceiling treatment: we started off by having the electrical rewired (delete pot lights and prep for linear strip lights), then we began attaching thin plywood sheets (previously painted black) to the ceiling. These are necessary as they’ll provide a sturdy surface that we’ll be mounting the ceiling baffles/slats to.
