What can you see from your window? In this workshop, you can draw whatyou see from the window of your house or an imaginary place with a window view you like. The workshop is led by the local artist Lucia Sellars and will take place at L'étoile Studio (Old Market), 18 West Street, BS2 8UG, Bristol on Sunday the 5th of May (3.30-5.30 pm). This class is part of a series named Meet the Artist. The events are thought to connect young people with local artists learning, creating and playing together. На днях наконец добрался до открытого после ремонта Дома фотографии. Возможно, это у меня были завышенные ожидания. Но осталось стойкое послевкусие разочарования. Нет, каждая из выставок имеет право на существование, качественная и исполнена на 6 из 5. Но все они могли бы стать хорошим подспорьем - всё же 7 этажей искусства - для чего-то одного свежего, крутого, нового. А его - этого крутого и нового - и не было. Для того, что было, я использую термин "Третьяковка открывает запасники". Насколько кайфовый был Бородулин в Еврейском музее - тут же вот вам просто эстетичный советский спорт. На "чердаке" - Булатов к 90-летнему юбилею. Ниже мощная - реально - инсталляция, ее ещё показывали в Венеции... в 2009 году 🫠. И так практически во всем. Кроме, разве что, атриума первого этажа. Блокбастером могла стать выставка модной фотографии из коллекции Still Art. Но почти все оттуда уже показывали. Иронично выглядит стена, на которой повесили ретроспективу показов этой коллекции. Тем не менее, МАММ была и остается одной из самых уважаемых столичных культурных площадок. Не могу не добавить ее в свой список 52 художественных локаций Москвы. Biennale sztuki na Malcie zorganizowano po raz pierwszy. I było to dla mnie doświadczenie bardzo ciekawe z perspektywy moich faktorowych pytań - dlaczego to oglądam? Z jakiego powodu dany obiekt ja mam przed oczami? Imprezie na Malcie i Gozo przyświecała taka idea, aby prace współczesnych artystów z różnych krajów pokazać w kontekście śródziemnomorskim, np wyspiarskiej izolacji, nieustannych konfliktów zbrojnych o te kamieniste skrawki ziemi, nierówności społecznych, rasowych etc. 80 artystów z 23 krajów tu zaprezentowano, ale widziałam tylko kilka, bo szukanie ekspozycji przypominało gre w pokemony:) w narodowej galerii prezentującej militaria w którymś momencie myślałam że wąż od gaśnicy to instalcja artystyczna🤡co właśnie wspaniale pokazauje, że wartość obiektom nadaje zawsze kontekst;) Niemniej zamieszczenie rzeźby @ida.karkoszka (3,4 zdj) w centrum cytadeli i fortyfikacji obronnych z ekspozycjami typu cele żołnierzy brytyjskich i ich nawoływania podczas ataków artyleryjskich było wg mnie znaczące. Karmiąca wilczyca i te falliczne wszędzie armaty. Odwieczna kontra. Większość instalacji video, rzeźb, detali odwoływało się myśli zaprezentowanej w jednej z prac - czy słońce ma narodowość i dlaczego nie każdemu świeci tak samo. No nie świeci. Sam kontekst tej wyspy wg mnie ciekawy. Nie przypomina mi ona żadnego miejsca w Europie, w jakim byłam. Jest tyglem i miksem stylów wloskich, francuskich, arabskich, brytyjskich. I tak tu to w tych wapieniach i kolorze ecru się gotuje. Co do sztuki - pokemonów szukać zawsze warto, nawet jeśli myślimy, że jakiś obiekt stworzylibyśmy lepiej;) zatem.
