Temporada de Gringo is coming to an end, thank you to all my friends new and old for the amazing laps this season, grateful for amazing levels, rain was a welcome change not just for boating, but for mother hearth as well. My last day was on cheese house around 18 ish, got some amazing levels on the high side on Jondachi, oyacachi, Papallacta, cheese house. Unfortunately no trips this year stayed locally and spent most days working at the farm, and paddling in the afternoons. Lost almost 25 lbs and feeling more better then ever. Unfortunately, a cool trip to Ecuador is already over and I’m on my way to the next destination and adventure. 20+ years ago Gynner Coronel , Mark Holcomb and Mark Hayden fired up this gorge, a decade prior to become another “road sided “run in Ecuador ;). Well this time the Chingual seemed low and felt like a perfect flow although wasn’t what we really wanted and around one of those bends we found an extravagant drop with such high consequences that made climbing that right wall look not so bad. Not sure how @toddwellskayak climbed up some gnar slippery wall to get us all out of there and start a whole different mission ⬆️.
