Muzenberg Beach is known to be a hotspot for great white sharks in Africa and cage diving. Sadly, the great white sharks are becoming extinct and getting caught up in the circle of life. . We could spot a few from this lookout point, and that was close enough for us! The water in this part of Cape Town gets closer to the Indian Ocean and you can tell by the beautiful blue of the water. . We were not far from the Cape of Good Hope at this point, which was the southernmost tip of the continents of Africa. We didn’t go further with the visit since we were only missing out on a sign/ photo opportunity that would take up a significant amount of time out of our day.

One of my biggest regrets about this trip was not scheduling a whole beach day. We were there at the end of their Summer and on this particular day, the weather was hot and gorgeous! . Cape Town has several beach towns and this one was perfect. They had built a natural pool that was safe for kids to swim in without the worry of sharks approaching. There were also so many cute cafés and shops along the main strip. We could have spent the whole day, just relaxing and exploring!
