What a wonderful day with friends! The Neverland 5k was an early start but so much fun and super rewarding! Morning was spent in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park then we spent the afternoon poolside at our resort. We then had a delicious dinner at ‘Ohana (a first for me) then strolled back for an early night in. Tomorrow is the 10k. The second and last of my races so my feet will definitely need rest. Today I’ve done over 20,000 steps, so we’ll see how many we can do tomorrow! This morning I completed my first Run Disney event! 5km was the start of the Springtime Surprise Challenge Weekend! While I’m no runner, my goal was to complete it under an hour with jogging intervals and I crossed the finish line at 51 minutes! Today was amazing! We toured through Suess Landing taking in all of the different story details. We danced with King Julian and enjoyed some ButterBeer in Hogsmeade. We came face to face with Blue the Velociraptor, met some stars and had a super filling dinner at CowFish Burger & Sushi Bar. 10 things my family loved about our Disney Cruise Line Vacation aboard the Disney Wish: 1) Slide to the Oceaneers Club! Everyone took a turn riding down the slide during an open house (even Grampies)! 2) Interactive games in the Oceaneers Club. There was so much for them to do using their MagicBands or just their bodies, it was hard to get them out, especially Matthew! 3) The Edge. This tween club for 11-14 year olds was perfect for Danielle. She loved the activities, friends she made and the counsellors! 4) Our room! Our Deluxe Inside Stateroom was spacious and beautiful. A perfect way to start and end the day! 5) Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge. All the adults loved the atmosphere and drinks here! 6) Food! Everything was delicious, that needs its own post 👌🏼 7) Disney Uncharted Adventure interactive game. Everyone took part in playing this game and it was fun to explore the ship while playing. 8) Castaway Cay! The entire day there. Snorkeling, laying on the beach or in the surf, and the beautiful surroundings. 9) Funnel Vision. Everyday you find Matthew in the pools watching the movies and Mom and I in some loungers! 10) The time together. So I’m choosing to focus on all of the amazing times I had with friends, family and colleagues whether in Canada or the US! In May I travelled to Universal Orlando Resort for an Agency Familiarization Trip with the PMV team. Bookended by a bit at Walt Disney World. We always have a blast together! In September I had an amazing family trip to Walt Disney World where we had so many firsts together (yes even after all these trips) and had the time of our lives. I then stayed and combined my Disney love with my unmagical job at the Canadian Association of Orthodontics annual conference and was thrilled by the extra time at Disney and the experiences with my friends. Through the year I spent a lot of time outside the parks with my PMV family, whether it was surprising a friend while she skated, Blue Jays games or just dinner out. We always have fun. Then of course is all the travelling for dance competitions, from Gatineau Quebec to Blue Mountain, Disney Animation Immersion, Toronto Zoo visits, all our fun family camping trips and more!
