The Inca Avalanche dh race was definitely demanding this year. Two obligatory classi runs on Saturday and one final run on Sunday. I grabbed a third place 🥉 podium. I should have done better but my mind got the best of me. I thought I was so far behind in my category that I didn't give it my all. Lesson learned. Transmadeira, Dia 1 Aqui os dias são longos, tão longos que passamos pelas quatro estações do ano. Primeira especial em pleno Outono e “Olá, Arm Pump”. Que dor de braços! Senti o Inverno a chegar no Trutas, e depois disso foi um autêntico banho de água gelada, com alguma lama para que o tratamento de argila à pele fosse completo. Nas subidas foi sempre a puxar pela Orbea Rallon para aquecer o corpo, que a mente já vinha a fervilhar pelos trilhos de Machico abaixo. No final do dia apareceu a Primavera, e com ela trouxe o Pombo mais veloz do mundo. Apanhei boleia do Emanuel e entrámos juntos para a última especial do dia. Entusiasmei-me para o ver voar, houve uma curva à esquerda que não vi, e cheguei ao final da especial com alguma vegetação a decorar a bicicleta. Não há praia sem o seu Verão, e assim se seca a roupa pendurada na tenda.
