Dzisiaj mamy do Was ogromną prośbę o wsparcie w walce o uratowanie łapy Lemonka! Nasz blabladorowy psiak pod koniec wakacji 2022 znalazł dom najlepszy z możliwych. Pan Piotr i Pani Klaudia z rodziną zdecydowali się na adopcję Lemona mimo informacji o starym złamaniu łapy. Niestety Lemon odczuwał ból i ortopeda przeprowadził operację łapy. Wdało się zakażenie, które jest bardzo trudne do wyleczenia. Lemonek jeździ do komory tlenowej na zabiegi, ma obecnie intensywną antybiotykoterapię by okiełznać oba typy gronkowca, które „zjadają” kość… Droga do zdrowia jest daleka, walka trudna, ale warta podjęcia! Marshmallow Man at the tail end of what was an easy day for him summiting his first two Catskills peaks: Black Dome and Black Head (it's debatable if North Point was a summit last month but it was technically harder). 🆘Lola needs an adopter by 5/1, or she will be euthanized‼️🆘 Lola was brought into the shelter on 3/29, by a finder that had her for just a couple of hours. She was quickly adopted for a week and a half then once again came back to the shelter on 4/12. 😢 The adopter said Lola was good around their other pittie but she hadn’t eaten for 2 days and would growl when she was in her crate. She was fine outside of her crate but had some puppy behavior and would chew on things. What staff and volunteers have seen with Lola is an easy, friendly, sweet girl that allows brushing, petting and leans in for attention. She’s good on a leash and takes treats gently. She doesn’t react around other dogs. 🥰 2 year old, 46 lb Lola has been on antibiotics since 4/3, and doesn’t seem to be recovering. She needs an adopter by her deadline or she will be euthanized. Once in a less stressful environment, she will get over her illness quickl. Can you help this friendly pup out? Look at little Miss Alma🥹🖤 This girl has come so unbelievably far since her days at the shelter when she was almost euthanized at only 10 months old 🥲😣 When she first left the shelter… Alma would hide in her Foster’s garage on one of the shelves where they stored beverages. She considered that tiny little zone her ‘safe space’. Her Foster even put a dog bed there so she could relax and come out when she felt more confident. Over the last 2 years Alma has blossomed into such a beautiful, loving, hilarious, fun, loyal protector and friend. She is fully part of the pack now and loves to run around her yard doing zoomies. Just hours before the Chiefs took on the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, a certain Nuzzles puppy was capturing hearts on Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl. This week, we're thrilled to update you on Pando, now lovingly known as Cooper. A couple, ready to welcome a new furry member into their family, fell in love with Pando while browsing the Puppy Bowl website. Among a sea of applicants, fortune smiled on them, and they were the lucky ones chosen to adopt him. Eager to meet their new companion, the couple flew from Arizona, ready to drive their little buddy back to his forever home. Settling into his new environment, Cooper quickly unfolded his full puppy exuberance. His new parents delight in having such a playful and curious companion, adding a whole new level of joy to their lives. I do such a thorough check, but a couple years ago I discovered a bullet lodged in the eye socket of this sweet boy named Timmy. He was shot at befpre he was adopted, most likely by some crazy country person. Time for the 4th annual “Jack Run!” I’m running on May 11 to raise money for the nonprofit Sacramento Shelter Pets Alive (SSPA). SSPA is a nonprofit that serves as a safety net and support system for shelter dogs with a focus on the most vulnerable. SSPA is a group of staff and volunteers who provide innovative, comprehensive behavioral and rehabilitative programs, foster care and rescue support, and adoption retention that have proved to sustain a high live outcome. SSPA approaches every dog as an individual, with the understanding that physical appearance does not determine behavior. SSPA is planning on breaking ground on a new permanent facility in the Natomas area of Sacramento. The goal is to start onsite weekend adoptions with an eventual goal of long-term housing of shelter dogs. The future is bright! The past two years have severely restricted SSPA’s ability to raise money which they urgently need to continue working on their goal to house dogs at the new facility. To make their vision a reality, they have a critical need for kennels, cleaning supplies, cot-style beds, dog food, blankets/towels, leashes/collars, enrichment items, safety equipment, agility equipment, and other items needed to successfully run a new facility. By operating a new facility, more dogs in the Sacramento region can be housed until they find a permanent home than under current conditions.
