It’s @find.amaker week and today it’s about me! 😃 Born and bred Swede residing in sunny Cornwall since over 15 years now. I came up with this new “blurb” the other week while philosophising in the workshop and I think it describes what I do quite well: “Glorious gems set in Cornish tactile textures with a hint of Scandi chic” 😊 I’m a 1 woman biz and I have the support of my gorgeous (I’m highly partial!) family; husband Steve and nearly 14 year old Filip and 9 1/2 (cos the half is important!) I haven’t done an introduction for a while so here goes… Hi, I’m Lucy and I design and make contemporary jewellery. I’m located just outside of Presteigne in Mid Wales, Powys. I’m lucky to be able to work from my workshop next to our house so I have no commute though there’s plenty of distractions on the way in (laundry!). I have a 4 year old son who hasn’t started school yet so my creative practice has had to adapt to becoming a parent and find a different pace which at times has been frustrating but having limited time has often made me far more productive and determined than before. I work primarily in recycled silver and have recently been enjoying incorporating stones such as labradorite into my work.
