Just a few days in paradise 🎣🏔 Trout fishing in the Eucumbene River in alpine conditions is truly an unforgettable experience. The crisp mountain air, the sound of rushing water, and the thrill of reeling in a beautiful trout make for a perfect weekend away on the water. The fishing was hard going with many km’s hiking through luscious scrub and mountainous terrain in search of the hungry fish. We managed to see hundreds of fish ranging from 20-60cm but all very timid and not interested in what we had to offer. We managed to get 8 fish between the two of us in 3 days fishing. A few detail shots of the work that @ironhide_customs did last week to Frank... My old factory shock towers were cracked and at the end of their life, so the boys fabricated some new ones and moved the shock mount to the diff. Very professional job with some lovely welds and the geometry is spot on. I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to help out on the 2024 @centerforce Adventure Run. This year we definitely stayed busy with clearing sections of the trail of low tree branches, trimming rigs for tire clearance, and fixing a couple breakdowns on the trail. • Clearing the trail of low tree branches and the rig repairs were a group effort and everyone pitched in to help where needed. Armageddon spec BugOut Tray! We absolutely loved building this rig for @gaztastic_4x4! The amount of time that has gone into every aspect from design and engineering through to fabrication and fitting has allowed us to build the ultimate extreme duty off road tray. Cheers to @aav4x4 for importing such an awesome platform! What sets it apart? For one, the 4 point pivoting sub frame is an absolute game changer! It allows up to 200mm of flex through the truck chassis while maintaining a flat tray deck- vital for the longevity of your full length canopy or camper when used off road. This subframe also allows for a 180lt under tray tank and our 335kg rated trundle drawer to never come into contact with the chassis while under full flex. You read that right, the trundle drawer in the BugOut Tray is rated at 335kg! It’s made out of 4mm aly and fully weather and dust proof. It also now has a lock out mechanism to ensure it won’t go anywhere when used on an incline. The BugOut Tray also comes with our 4mm under tray boxes which offer full access, so unlike your tow ball m the doors aren’t hinting your shins in the night! The last couple days in the road have been pretty bloody decent 🗺️ Made it down to Jervis Bay after making our way down the coast. Round Sydney again (stress) and now to here. From here we were going to go along the southern coast but have now switched plans to go inland past Yass and to the Grampians before poking our head into SA. So we have an idea for Thursday… When we were picking the parts for the truck, especially the powerplant, we wanted something tried and true and good for ease of ownership, we landed on GM’s LT1. Producing 455 horsepower and 465 lbft of torque while being naturally aspirated. Our initial thought was that it would be a nice manageable amount of power and comfortable around town… while that is true, what we didn’t expect is for our full aluminum body truck to come in at a much lighter weight than we thought and the power to weight ratio to really be so much fun. The Legend rips, So we’ve paired it up against Jamie’s 2018 Bi-Turbo v12 G65 and set the stage for a little “side by side comparison” (drag racing them for sure) in an effort to show everyone exactly how much the truck can hang. The competition: 621 horsepower 738 lbft torque The 2018 AMG G65… loud, in your face excess. If you’re going to show off in a car, you’re not going to get a chrome-wheeled Bentley – you’ll get this, the Mercedes-AMG G65. Though the G-Class may once have been a proud military vehicle capable of many off-roading feats, all that stopped the day the Gelandewagen got the AMG treatment. But the G65 takes AMG treatment and turns the dial up to 11 – trading out familiar V8s for a more-power-than-you-know-what-to-do-with V12 and shed-loads of attitude. Of course it comes at the compromise of off-road ability, but you’ll look badass. Just about ready to lick the stamp and send it off to WA 🗺 T minus 8 days and we are off 🥲🫠 Big week of packing but super keen to get in the road and see all the stuff we've missed on previous trips as we make our way over. Plan on doing a bunch through the Flinders Ranges, SA coastline, and south west WA. But it's still super scary and hectic 😂 Any recommendations on places to visit around the coast line on the bottom part of Australia are more than welcome. Cannot wait to do a bit more photography for myself. As well as all the work I've got lined up once were off!

“The surest way to make your dreams come true is to live them.” We love reading the words from journalists about our dream turned reality, most recently featured on @carscoop “There’s no shortage of companies out there who are restomodding the classic Land Rover Defender and yet another has been formed. The company is known as Legend Motor Co and was established in Salt Lake City, Utah by a trio of enthusiasts aiming to take the iconic off-roader and make it better suited to the modern world. The company has recently finished work its first project, known as the Signature Series 001, and it certainly lives up to its name. This vehicle is built on a Jeep Wrangler JK chassis, and the original engine has been swapped out for an LT1 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine, producing 460 hp and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. While it may not match the current-gen Defender V8’s 518 hp, these figures are still quite impressive. Plenty of additional upgrades have been implemented. For instance, the Defender now features Wilwood brakes, a substantial 22.5-gallon fuel tank, and is supported by Fox 2.5 fully adjustable remote reservoir shocks. In addition, Legend Motor Co has painstakingly crafted new Kevlar-lined aluminum body panels for the Land Rover. The off-roader is also equipped with a set of robust aftermarket wheels and tires that extend beyond the wheel arches. No comprehensive restomod project can be complete without an updated interior so the Utah-based firm has done just that. Adorning the seats is hand-sewn full-aniline leather that looks extremely premium. The company has also fitted a new dashboard to the Land Rover as well as installed a bespoke steering wheel clad in leather.
