I recently attended a conference about our mindsets around money. I discovered hidden self-limiting beliefs that had been buried in my sub-conscious since childhood. I learnt about the power of mindset and how we attract more of what we focus on. I learnt how most of us are great givers but not so good at receiving. We chatted about how we are paying off my student debt to planning our trip to Spain… and I might have thrown in a last minute road trip to see the Red Hot Chili Pepper concert because #eneagram7 🤣 And can you believe it is all thanks to another algo (eharmony) for connecting us✨. Let me preface this by saying there’s biologically for sure a good timing to become pregnant if you want to and plan to. Socially? Almost never! There’s pros and cons at any given time. People have to consider the quality of eggs and sperms when they wish to have kids but the so-called „biological clock“ is nothing but a social construct because it focuses more on the personal desire to have children than on the actual biological aspect. Whereas the 20‘s provide a better chance to fall pregnant (granted there’s no fertility issues), the phrase „Your biological clock is ticking, you need to hurry if you still want kids“ is more brought to you in your 30‘s. Almost like they want to tell you you’re running out of time, partners and/or opportunities. In my opinion we should leave the decision up to individual couples and stop the fear-mongering of the stupid biological clock. When we are working toward big goals we can often feel overwhelmed. The key is to have the end goal in mind, but break it down into many small steps that can be done on a daily basis. Creating daily habits will increase your success rate of achieving your goals. Think about daily habits that you can form around your goals which will ultimately get you to achieving them after a consistent period of time. Once your actions become a habit then you no longer have to think about them and they automatically become second nature. Start small. Don't overwhelm yourself. You are more likely to succeed in creating a habit if it is easy to do and has little friction attached to it. Wednesday’s adventures took us mostly to Disney Sea which is unlike any Disney we’ve been to. Very elaborate and reminds you a little of Epcot. Excellent rides, food and frivolity 🇯🇵
