Congratulations to @willfortescue who has exceeded his target to raise £100,000 to help conservation efforts for the animals he works so closely with. Through “The Art Of Survival Exhibition” (Currently available for viewing @redeightgallery until January 6th 2023) and a phenomenal result during the Zoological society of London auction in September. We can happily announce the target has been smashed and £110,000 ($135,000) has been raised before Williams Christmas Day deadline. The exhibition is available for viewing @redeightgallery (Red Eight Gallery, 9 The Royal Exchange, EC3V 3LR) Monday - Friday between 10am and 6pm Kalite was William Fortescue’s first powerful rhino shot, he took the photo while laying down only 10 yards aways from Kalite. Rhinos have amazing hearing but terrible eyesight this meant that William was safe as long as he made no sound. “Precipice” is @willfortescue first Rhino shot, this image helped raise £4,000 for the “Helping Rhinos” event in the same week. William Fortescue wanted to highlight the fragile nature of the Rhino population by using the young Rhino against incoming storm. The image was taken in Kenya where there has been enormous strides to reduce poaching, no Rhino has been poached where WF took this photo in over 2 years.
