However, ice cannot be continuously applied for more than 20 minutes without adverse effects which means the horse will not gain the true benefits of cryotherapy. ♥️ The deep desire to be with horses can take hold at any age and in my case it was straight out of the womb. Born into generations of extremely able horsemen and women, I sometimes suspect it’s why my soul chose my young, horse loving parents and in many ways realise, I have had a deep sense of past lives connected to many horses. 🦄 🐎 I’m reading a wonderful book by Linda Kohanov which I’ve had for a long time but right now the meaning and message of this book is especially poignant and articulates so much of how I feel about horses influence on humanity, since the dawn of time but also for the new earth coming in. Sharing this exert from Way of the Horse with this image of me ‘being more tree’ on little Lottie, my pretty little pocket rocket. 💥 Highly sensitive, this little mare has been with me for three years. A conundrum in many ways, she has confounded experts and in the process taught me so very much. Now ridden bitless and bareback we have developed a deep respect and mutual trust for each other that takes my breath away🙏🏽 📕 “These spirited creatures gallop through ancient myths, favorite childhood stories, wishes, dreams and drawings. For many people, the desire recedes over time, into a secret corner of the heart. It is well known within the equine sector that cold therapy is beneficial for aiding in the recovery of many horse injuries. Applying ice is a common technique used to reduce the horse’s skin temperature. However, ice cannot be continuously applied for more than 20 minutes without adverse effects which means the horse will not gain the true benefits of cryotherapy. INSTANTCRYO™ provides a practical and more effective alternative to icing. Within 30 seconds, it reduces the skin temperature to 39°F (4°C) degrees which is significantly lower than the temperature reached using ice. Combined with the high pressure, INSTANTCRYO™ allows for cryostimulation to be achieved. This enables for the horse to gain all the benefits that cold therapy can offer, naturally enhancing the horse’s recovery and pain relief.
