These are ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฌ an extinct species and theyโre different from all other cone shells (either living or extinct) because they have left-handed coiling. All other cone shells are right-handed coiling. Recent storms and flooding unearthed hidden treasures of long extinct Kauai endemic snails. These fossil shells are land snails known as carelia shells. They were only found on island of Kaua'i and are extremely scarce finds. The shell in first image is perfect and shell in second image is imperfectly perfect. (Swipe left to see more!) Both are highly sought after, treasured and amazing to behold. In my lifetime, I have found 8. All of which have been sold to collectors or gifted to someone. These shells will be gifted and I knew it the second I laid eyes on them. ๐๐ฅฐ๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ The moment each shell presented itself to me I could only think of gifting it to one person.
