We cruised to Allen Cay and its Iguana Beach today in fair weather with sparkling azure waters. From our chartered 44-foot catamaran, we went ashore to see the iguanas, apparently one of the few places in the Bahamas where they are found. Then we went snorkeling in chilly waters off the cay. We set out for the Exumas from Nassau this afternoon in choppy seas but fair skies. The waters were spectacular greens and blues. Our first day ended at Rose Island, where we decided to overnight in hopes of calmer seas tomorrow. No worries.
