Part 1 Day 2 Cairo Egypt Today was a little bit more of a relaxing day, which my blisters thank me for. We visited two museums. The Cairo Museum and then the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation. Part 2 Day 1 Cairo Egypt Got up bright and early headed to the Pyramids of Giza and even got the chance to go inside of one them. After did a camel ride to get another vantage point of the Pyramids. Then proceeded to the Sphinx took some shots there and walked through the ruins before heading to a Papyrus store and got artwork with my name in hieroglyphics Followed by Saqqara, which is the stepping Pyramid the very first built and the stepping and learning stone for all other pyramids. Part 2 Day 5 Anzac Day After sleeping overnight in the cove, thabk the lord it wasn’t freezing nor was it raining, woke up and had prime position for the dawn service in Gallipoli. It was moving and great to see the turn out of all different ages to remember the fallen men. We then went to the top to Lone Pine and had another service and the General Minister of repatriation of Australia (or something or rather) came and talked to our group and even asked if my uncle and one of the other gentle wanted to lay a wreath. Part 2 Day 4 Çanakkale Stayed overnight on the coastal side of Canakkale before we headed to ancient Troy. Unfortunately the Wooden Horse was struck by lightening last year and burnt down so they are rebuilding. But we were still able to walk around the ruins of the ancient city and see what once was. Then walked across to Anzac Cove to see where the soldiers first landed and were shot down straight away. Then headed up to the top at loan line. Whilst I stayed with the group and tour guide, my uncle went on his own path and then ended up getting interviewed by channel 9 from Australia (but broadcasted to London?) We then proceeded to the Nek which was when the Australian and the Turkish trenches was the closest to each other in the entire war. Started with the Blue Mosque, then over to the Haggia Sofia, then Topkapi Palace. Had lunch which was not the best but it’s all apart of travel shitty food. After lunch went underground to the Basilica Cistern, then walked up to the Grand Bazaar and then the Egyptian Spice Market. Day 1 in Istanbul before our on the Go Tour kicks off. A rainy day and cold even, I think a top of 15 yesterday, on of the coldest days on the trip thus far. Got up early and explored the Grand Bazaar. We then went for a walk for about an hour in the backstreets before heading towards the Hippodrome and the Basilica After walking around the streets we got some lunch, tradition Turkish style pizza. Yum 😋 We headed back to the Grand Bazaar and it was flooded with people, which I think makes it more interesting. Headed back to the hotel and had a rest. Then we walked from our hotel to the Galata tower in the rain. But the Galata area and street were beautiful even in the rain. It was a day of walking (my poor feet) First stop was exploring the museum of the future and travelling to the year 2070. Which was amazing and I cannot wait to see if these technologies will come to fruition. Then we tried to get our way to the Dubai frame, hustled a taxi only to find out it was closed and flooded out. After walking for an hour towards to Dubai mall we managed to find a taxi to take us the rest of the way. Head up to the top of the Burj looking down all over Dubai and seeing some of the flooded roads still. Then to finish it off was the fountains at the Dubai Mall. Part 3 of Day 2 of 3 (technically 3) in Abu Dhabi Today turned out to be a really great day. We were disappointed because we were advised the fastest rollercoaster in the world Formula Rossa was closed for maintenance. But was pleasantly entertained in the end by the other thrill rides. Plus we did a driving experience in a real Ferrari (as a passenger) and then did a roof walk on top of the Ferrari World complex. Giving us a magnificent view of Abu Dhabi city, Yas Island and even the Grand Prix race track. Overall it was an amazing day before heading to a modern souk for a quick trinket shopping Bingo was allowed into the park however she was tall enough to ride the thrill rides and the other activities. Part 2 of Day 2 of 3 (technically 3) in Abu Dhabi Today turned out to be a really great day. We were disappointed because we were advised the fastest rollercoaster in the world Formula Rossa was closed for maintenance. But was pleasantly entertained in the end by the other thrill rides. Plus we did a driving experience in a real Ferrari (as a passenger) and then did a roof walk on top of the Ferrari World complex. Giving us a magnificent view of Abu Dhabi city, Yas Island and even the Grand Prix race track. Overall it was an amazing day before heading to a modern souk for a quick trinket shopping Bingo was allowed into the park however she was tall enough to ride the thrill rides and the other activities.
