What is the second dish that comes to mind? Yes, it is Lechon! 🐖 Lechon refers to Roasted Suckling Pig that is spit-roasted over an open flame. Lechon can be enjoyed plain, or eaten with a sweet dipping sauce. Lechon can also be served in many ways. It can be stuffed, minced, served in soup, stewed, braised or paired with vegetables 🔥 Another popular item served at stalls selling Lechon is the Crispy Pata (Deep Fried Pork Knuckle). This dish is usually served with a dipping sauce that is prepared using soy sauce, vinegar, garlic and chilli 🧄 These are what we ordered at Don Lechon: 1️⃣ Chopped Lechon (0.5kg) - $25.00 2️⃣ Bicol Express - $16.00 3️⃣ Milkfish Sinigang - $17.00 4️⃣ Rice - $2.00 5️⃣ Canned Drink / Bottled Water - $2.00 Takeaway Box - $0.30/box The food is undeniably tasty! The Lechon has a crackling skin, and meat that is pull-apart tender. The natural flavours of the pork really shine through. If you are at Don Lechon, you have got to order this! 👍🏻 The Bicol Express is named after the Bicol Express Railway Train that operated from Manila to Central Bicol. The dish is essentially a Lechon Stew in a Spicy Coconut Milk Sauce. While it is an excellent dish, we do know that the actual dish is supposed to be more spicy than what we had at Don Lechon. This version is definitely suitable for young children to enjoy 🚂 The Milkfish Sinigang is made using boneless Milkfish Belly cooked in a sour Tamarind Soup with assorted vegetables. It is evidently sour, but very pleasing to drink 🐟 Don Lechon has limited dining space, so come early to avoid disappointment. Grilled fish with chili/shrimp paste relish that got the sourness from green mango which is in season right now. On weekends, it is best to secure a reservation before heading down ☕ The Menu ar Cafe Kreams is seasonal, and it changes with time. We like the Rose Pasta Sauce (Tomato + Cream) as it has evident Garlic taste. The Prawns are blowtorched, so there is a distict fragrance from the grilled prawn shell 🍝 The Margherita Pizza at $22 is one of the most expensive Margherita Pizza that we have ever paid for (so we had high expectations for it). As it turns out, it is a really good Pizza. There are 8 slices of Pizza, so it is good for sharing. The dough is thin and fluffy, and there is generous amount of cheese on it. Swipe to see our cheese-pull! 🍕 We highly recommend the Pistachio Matcha-misu (the regular Matcha-misu costs the same as the Pistachio version, so go for the Pistachio one). The cream as a light Pistachio taste (from the Pistachio paste), and the cream to ladyfinger ratio is spot on 🍵 The drinks here are quite good. The Dalgona drinks come with a Dalgona (the one from Squid Game, not the one that you hand-whipped during Circuit Breaker). The drinks quite cute, because they come with a Mint and Rosemary garnish. Nobody actually eats them 😂 Big shout out to Danial and Adrena for top-notch service and hospitality! 👍🏻

Great Southern Thai food with spectacular view! I found it’s Interesting that the Southern food in the South was less spicy than what I ate in Bangkok! 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 🍕 Mr Kneady's sells Sourdough Pizza at The Bedok Marketplace (Simpang Bedok), and their pizzas have gotten them pretty good reviews online (4.7 on Google, 4.8 on Facebook) 🌐 Mr Kneady's is founded by Mr Lionel, who actually has rye and buckwheat allergy! Hence, he prefers making his bakes with Sourdough instead. Funny how their logo features a stalk of wheat 🌾 The Menu at Mr Kneady's consists mainly of 6 Pizzas that are mainstays, and 1 Pizza of the Month. You can customise your Pizza with add-ons ranging from $1.50 to $2.50 per add-on 📖 We ordered the Remedy Sourdough Pizza ($13) which is prepared using Garlic Sauce, Red Onions, Smoked Chicken and Mozzarella 🧀 We find the Pizza crust to be thicker pretty crusty around the edges, but the middle is definitely softer (which we very much prefer). If you are wondering, the Pizza crust is not that sour. The Chicken bits are littered throughout the Pizza, and there is quite a lot of Red Onion everywhere. Every bite comes with some Onion, so if you are not big on them, do consider the other pizzas 🧅 We also ordered the Vox Populi ($16) and Art of War ($13) Sourdough Pizzas. The Vox Populi is prepared using Tomato Sauce, Pork Sausage, Jalapenos, Cheddar and Mozzarella. The star of the dish is definitely the Jalapenos. This Pizza does pack quite a bit of spice, but if you can handle it, you will enjoy this pepper 🌶️ The Art of War is a dessert pizza made using Creme Fraiche, Banana, Blueberries, Strussel and White Chocolate Chips. We really like this sweet treat. The Banana and Chocolate is a great combination, and it is just so fragrant and well balanced. We highly recommend this! There is often a small queue at the stall, but fret not, the queue moves fast because the stallowners are really swift 🚶🏻♂️ Recently, they opened a second outlet at Sengkang. It seems like the Sengkang residents have not picked up on this news yet 🆕 We tried their Kway Chap ($5.50) and it is pretty good. The Kway has a light fruitiness from Orange Peel, which is pretty special.
